Reviews around work (4.59 of 5)

  • This motherboard has been working great for me, I have no complaints.
  • 3.0 x4 Internal Solid State Drive works great with this motherboard and really makes the computer twice as fast as before.
  • They have all been working well since I did this but were useless before.
  • This board accommodated what I had before that worked well for 4 years almost 24/7.I wanted to use the two back panel External E-SATA ports
  • This one works fine, no issues -- other than that it has no way to attach an optical drive

  • Six SATA portsSix USB portsIncludes USB 3.0 ports on an AMD Phenom 2 systemCons:PCI-Express slot cannot handle modern graphics cards (PCI-E cards that fail to post: nVidia 750 ti, nVidia 1050, nVidia 8800)I did finally get an RX 460 to post and run in LinuxMint and Win7, but only after major effortWorks with dinosaur graphics cards such as nVidia 9300
  • I started with a spare AMD CPU, and wanted to make the best of it, will an option to jump up to faster AMD CPUs if/when they can be had a great price
  • It's a pretty nice and very durable motherboard for a medium spec PC, since you can upgrade your processor without needing to buy another motherboard, and the prices are cheap.
  • Great product, great price, correct descriptionsRead more
  • Either way, this is a great motherboard at a great price.

Reviews around install (4.28 of 5)

  • I swapped out this board and Windows 10 was able to pick it up and make things work without requiring a clean install
  • Evidently some can get it to work, probably with a fresh install.
  • The CPU installed very easily, as did the heat sink for it.
  • Tried everything from re-installing drivers, checking the bios just incase, and even doing a fresh install of windows
  • n’t died on me

Reviews around mb (4.08 of 5)

  • Gigabyte has several good mb utilities but this board is too old for it to work with windows 10.
  • Replacement for defective ASUS MB, just right!
  • I switched from Gigabyte to ASRock because I needed a MB whose version I could confirm would work with my processor
  • Works as expected, my old mb couldnt run my ram at 1866mhz, this one did without any manual setting
  • The MB works fast and smooth the bios is pretty simple to work with, I like this board.

Reviews around mobo (4.05 of 5)

  • good mobo, needed one to fit my old am3+ socket processor to do a budget build for a miner
  • I needed to replace a dead mobo without upgrading any parts -- this fit the bill
  • DOA - Seems any mobo from Gigabyte is hit-or-miss these days, but the AM3+ series is even more so
  • Great budget mobo if you want USB 3 support and basic functionality.
  • Good MoBo for the price, the only thing about it are the sound controllers, are pretty basic.

Reviews around product (3.87 of 5)

  • This board is a crude unfinished product that Gigabyte will barely support and will not finish
  • This product worked fairly well for the first 6 months and then completely broke!!
  • Any product that claims to be Ultra Durable should be Ultra Durable.

Reviews around system (3.65 of 5)

  • Maybe I will move my RAIDED file data someplace else and just buy a cheap turnkey system for not much more than what I have already invested and write this off as my last build.
  • My system was a bit more peppy than before (same memory/cpu/video).
  • Make sure you have a 3-pin bank or molex to 3-pin if you're going to be doing any gaming and want to cool your system with your fans.

  • Their insight is the Killer hardware on this MB is close enough to an "Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller" that the drivers work as replacement for Gigabyte's Killer E2200 drivers

Reviews around gigabyte (3.29 of 5)

  • Gigabyte just put lipstick on a pig.-Regardless of what you may see or read, Gigabyte DOES NOT SUPPORT but only 3 M.2 NVE SSD drives
  • Clearly, Gigabyte should address this problem in its drivers/BIOS updates
  • Gigabyte failed on this one trying to sell renaming stocks of the 990FX chipset and socket AM3+ CPUs before the big ZEN launch.
  • I read one review by a customer who did not receive the installation software/driver disk and took his advice of downloading all of the appropriate files from the Gigabyte support site to a thumb drive, an easy and recommended precaution.
  • bought this board to replace another gigabyte motherboard that failed after 5 yrs of gaming

  • Unfortunately, my monitor doesn't have a DVI connection, so I am left with running Windows 7, very sad.
  • (I have to reactivate Windows since Windows is so stupid when it comes to upgrading components)

Reviews around drive (1.24 of 5)

  • However, you really need to finesse the boot up timing and the BIOS settings if you want to plug in a blank hard drive and install windows from USB
  • I've swapped the power supply, memory, and hard drive with no change
  • Their official FAQ says it supports eDrive (self-encrypting drives) and yet Secure Boot is not an available option (and I'm on the latest revision and BIOS).
  • Not flash drive, not Hard Drive, not SSD, not even from the actual Windows DVD.
  • If I did not have a hard drive clone to recopy before updating I would have to reinstall windows and all my applications
