Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8GB Video Graphics Cards GV-N1080TTOC-8GD

    • But otherwise this card runs way cooler than other fan-cooled 1080's I've had.
    • Perhaps there is no actual fix and all these firmware/software patches are just compromises between fan revving, audible fan grinding, and higher initial fan RPMs.-Smelly plastic and paint even when powered off and at room temperature
    • I'd rather have a loud fan noise, at least then it wouldn't sound like something is broke
    • To my surprise the card runs cool at all times and the fan is barely audible.
    • Very well designed and also very well built, one thing I have to mention is that the fans on this in the beginning were making a sort of raffling noise I had to take out the card to
    • Fans don't spin until under load (I prefer cool components)Cables aren't tucked away from the fan blades very well
    • All smooth with idle fans and temps in the
    • It wasn't the fan on my cpu is louder then the fan on the radiator
    • Runs hot unless you max the fan... fan blows
    • I think this model have good cooling fans
    • Good card, sadly the fans died on ours 2 months after purchase date, with barely any intensive use.
    • Silent Fan!
    • The fan just wasn't keeping it cool enough
    • The second reason is that the fans on this card are obnoxiously loud under load
    • Good cooling and considerably quiet fans!
    • one fan dead another jumping around like
    • , it often switches off its fan as the GPU idles around 200MHz and using Riva Tuner, I say it clock all the way up to 2000MHz during gameplay!
    • The first issue was that the fans were making grinding noises.
    • but I started getting graphical glitches and the fans were really loud when the card ramped up
    • One of the cooling fans is not working at all
    • Even when the GPU does warm up, the fans are barely audible and no louder than my pretty quiet case fans.
    • all fans on all cards died within a month of mining
    • They perform AMAZINGLY and the fans for the radiators are not that loud, nor is the pump
    • so I don't really care how loud the fan is at 80% speed (custom fan profile)
    • Too bad the fan disrupted
    • Perhaps there is no actual fix and all these firmware/software patches are just compromises between fan revving, audible fan grinding, and higher initial fan RPMs.-Smelly plastic and paint even when powered off and at room temperature
    • Installation was tricky in my NZXT phantom because my hard drive fan was in the way
    • I emailed customer support and they told me my fan was probably hitting the heat sink.
    • All three fans failed simultaneously
    • This fan was loud
    • I thought the fan was broken
    • So I set the fan speeds to max and the fans had a screeching noise that I don't think anyone could stand, also they coil whining on this GPU may be the worst of all 1080's
    • My fans were faulty and wont turn on even at 80 Celsius
    • The software crashes often, the part that controls the LED's on the card doesn't work, the fan controller will controller the fans but sometimes the "fan stop" on the card will be on even though you manually adjusted the fan speed to 100%.
    • The fan started rattling just outside of my Newegg return window
    • You just have to make sure your desktop power supply is over 500W and that you have 2 spare 8-pin connectors to power thw video card and cooling fans
    • The best way that I can describe the pump noise is to imagine the sound of a salt/pepper grinder, which makes sounds every half-second or so.-In addition to pump noise, the fan is extremely noisy when it spins up to high RPMs
    • The fans (3 of them) are dead quiet and don't even spin at idle, normal workloads
    • The fan is quiet
    • The fan is defective, it makes an annoying clicking sound whenever it's
    • At first I was all excited to get this card that I put up with the fact that the fans made a grinding noise as they cycled from off to on with the fan stop functionality
    • This may be due to the possibly defective fan, or the small rear vent
    • The start-stop cycles are annoying, and I’m not sure if it will save the fan life over time compared to running the fan at low speeds and throttling up smoothly as needed
    • before I forget, if you read the docs on the 1080 you will learn it's cooling fans are shut off until the 1080's temperature starts to climb.
    • When I received my product, I reinstalled the card but only to find that the fans were still making the grinding noises.
    • On idle, fans hover around 30% maintaining 35-40C temperature
    • Doom, Crysis 3, Far Cry 4, you name it, and I can guarantee it averages way above 100fps in 1080p as it did for me
