Just the size of a large postage stamp, but just as accurate as large dedicated units
This unit works with windows and some linux machines - but does not play well with the Raspberry pi running gpsd...
Amazing unit, with a small form factor - this has been compatible with my Windows laptops, and is able to be recognized by the U-BLOX GPS suite for configuration.

With its outstanding sensitivity this is an amazing device.
anyway that is what you get for the price you paid, 4800 baud rate, not 9600, not as good as praised by many, I am looking for a better device, any advice will be appreciated
Overall, the device works and it does serve it`s purpose if it is used on devices without native GPS chips (like a laptop for example) but it is less accurate than some of the integrated GPS chips on the modern mobile devices.
The small profile of the device and the compatibility with my smartphone makes it the ideal device for me and what I need it for.

I've used the GPS unit successfully with MAPS PRO (a touch-friendly Windows store program that works nicely on tablets) and EXPERTGPS (a very powerful Windows desktop program less suited for tablets); both allow you to download USGS topographical maps, which are ideal for hiking

if u have to many ports open and earth cant lock on to the recievr, shut off the other ports through device manager, untill earth gets the right port... a pain but doable....unfortunaately no offline mode for earth so that sux, but the reciever itself is fast and works really well

UPDATE:Used this in the plane and worked great - actually better than another handheld aviation GPS that I own.

I installed the Prolific pl203 usb uart software from the Google play store that I was told is required to make the receiver work
Life is too short to struggle with bad software
In that case, there are a couple different software options available from other vendors that I'm aware of that will send the data to location API.
Next, I needed the software in order to actually test the GPS data, but again no luck
It took me a good half an hour of searching the Internet for a link to the correct software and eventually I was able to have the GPS data flowing to my laptop
