Our daughter loves her flute and this is a good investment vice paying monthly rental fees.

I bought this flute, It doesn't make any sounds when I blow a note.

The sound became terrible, it was hard to tune and even worse, I had to constantly tighten the screws because they kept falling out

I'm sure it serves its purpose well as a simple decoration, but I wouldn't recommend a colored instrument of any sort if you want to play.

Not sure about tuning, but she's young, too young for the band yet, and this was a great experiment to see if its something she'd stick with before buying a pricier instrument

We spent a great deal of time tracking down her other flute because of this and with this one we have yet to encounter a disappearance

It is of great quality and comes with needed supplies to sweeten the deal

Considering it is a flute under $100 it is a fantastic deal

The quality is not great and will discourage anyone with a real passion for learning how to play

My flute instructor says that's what I get for buying a $60 flute, and I completely agree that it would have been more worth it to invest in a more expensive, better quality flute

Beautiful sound, great for a beginner as well as someone just getting back into playing.

Bought it for the beginner student, very gentle, very careful, respectful of all instruments, skillful

Just so you know that's really bad, and rolled key holes help greatly to protect the key pades not only from wear & tear, but it extends the life of the pads and protects the pads from getting cut and damaged from the tops of the key holes

My son had bought this flute and after 3 months of use, all the pads were ruined and the thin paper was torn

My daughter is only in 5th grade, so you would think this flute would be ok for the music she is playing, but it was missing springs and padding was insufficient as mentioned in other reviews

The pads are somewhat sticky, and the head (the part you blow into) does not create a good sound

The springs break, the finish rubs off and gets grimy, and the pads start to disintegrate

After about 5 months, the metal started to tarnish badly and the F# key started to not come up then ever it was pressed

I'd also like to mention that whatever "metal" this company uses tarnishes.

The metal seems to stain after while of using it (yes I do clean it after every use) more specifically near the area where the lips are placed on the head of the flute and where the flute balances on your right thumb.
