Reviews around horn (5.00 of 5)

  • Comparing the price v. quality this horn is really really good
  • If you're looking for a decent horn but don't want to break the bank to get it, give this thing a good look!
  • solid for beginners and a great 3rd or 2nd horn for advanced players looking to add a Tenor to the mix.
  • This sax is a great place to start for someone learning the tenor without a tremendous investment and one of my daughter's previous sax instructors used a pretty inexpensive horn he bought online like this and loved it.
  • So be prepared to replace those items.over all a decent horn for an experienced tinkerer who has always wanted a tenor sax but couldn't afford one

Reviews around mouthpiece (5.00 of 5)

  • Long story short, if you get a better mouthpiece this will work nicely for a beginner or hobbyist.
  • I use Yamaha mouthpieces because they work and are available everywhere
  • I did have to buy a better mouthpiece and have to put bigger corks on some keys but other then that very nice saxophone
  • I also think something to clean the mouthpiece is worth having

Reviews around son (5.00 of 5)

  • Ordered nickel/goldReceived solid nickel, which my son was fine with
  • My son has been using it for about a month now and has not complained about the quality of the sound, neither did his music teacher
  • My son is in beginning band this school year and his school recommends we rent an instrument at a local music store

Reviews around beginner (5.00 of 5)

  • So this is definitely a beginner sax but good enough for middle school

Reviews around brand (5.00 of 5)

  • You also probably want to buy a better brand of reeds as the ones that come with it are poor quality, another important sound factor
  • Glory was just the brand
  • Buy something worthwhile and of a better brand

Reviews around look (4.16 of 5)

  • If you're looking for a decent horn but don't want to break the bank to get it, give this thing a good look!
  • works well with most notes, thins out the sound in the upper register...intonation problem with G note...second octave...great looking horn
  • Two nice things about this Glory sax are that its snappy good looks make you want to work hard to sound good on it, and that your practicing actually pays off in better sound
  • Of course, the looks of the instrument are meaningless if it doesn't play well, but this Sax sounds just as good as that

Reviews around sound (4.03 of 5)

  • The sound it produced was actually pretty good - just wildly out of tune
  • Good sound once I reattached the pieces that I assume fell off during shipping
  • Mot free blowing... creating sound was a battle that no one wins
  • I am a highschool symphonic and player who scored a 1 at the state festival looking for an affordable sax that had a good sound
  • This Sax has good sound and the keys reaction are pretty good

Reviews around tenor (4.03 of 5)

  • I love this tenor, and have been playing it for 30-60 minutes a day.
  • Saxes are easy to blow if they are working properly, a tenor is only slightly harder to blow than an alto
  • Imagine my surprise when this Glory B Flat Tenor Sax arrived and I got a look at it and had a chance to play it for a bit.

Reviews around reed (3.86 of 5)

  • Needs better MPC and soft reeds but beautiful after chops development amazing sound
  • I had to buy a good mouth piece and good reeds, but that's a no brainer, I'm loving it and playing it a lot
  • If the reed doesn't work, use another one until you find one that works, less than half the reeds are usable in any name brand
  • I did a test, I wiped the cleanest reed clear of debris and submerged it in 100% distilled water in a fresh sterile cup, after 24hrs you can see the resulting growth as a cloudy goop in the cup around the reed and it clearly says the brand "GLORY"The weekend before I started practicing, I was stuck in a hotel room doubled over with dry heaves and the feeling as if my gut had felt the impact of a wrecking ball
  • The reeds are flimsy and have gotten a splinter on my lip from one of them.

Reviews around case (3.61 of 5)

  • The case is very nice
  • But the case is terrible.
  • Case - The case is actually really sweet, its durable and keeps everything organized when in storage
  • comes with a sturdy case that keeps the sax well protected, a set of reeds (which was nice because he already broke 1 within a couple weeks), tools that you might need, and a neck strap which wasn't that comfortable according to my

Reviews around saxophone (3.37 of 5)

  • It's a beautiful saxophone but it does not play any low notes I have to take it to the shop 😰
  • Some of the keys are weirder than other tenor saxophones that I have played in the past
  • after about 1 month the saxophone didn’t work anymore
  • I did have to buy a better mouthpiece and have to put bigger corks on some keys but other then that very nice saxophone
  • Flute-o-phones, you just blow; saxophones, by contrast, have to be played

  • Can't lie though not the best quality but looks and sounds amazing
  • Cleaning Rod - Surprise its actually pretty good quality and mine came in a fun color.
  • The price is reasonable, yet the sound quality is exceptional good
