Google Nest WiFi Router 2 Pack (2nd Generation) – 4x4 AC2200 Mesh Wi-Fi Routers with 4400 Sq Ft Coverage

    • I don't even need the smart home features.
    • We decided to go with this because we are adding to our smart home
    • I have a ton of wifi/ smart home devices and am constantly adding
    • Couple of dead spots in a 2200 soft home
    • The Home and Wifi apps are convenient, but don't offer all of the way-too-difficult configuration options of past router interfaces
    • Let me start by saying that this wireless system is a great addition to my growing smart home
    • Then, I decided I wanted to make Nest WiFi the backbone of my smart home with the ultimate goal of getting the security system, door locks, and cameras
    • If you are looking for another great addition to your smart home or to increase your wifi coverage and power I can highly recommend this setup!
    • A negative to this is that many smart home appliances rely on 2.4 GHz only
    • I have a lot of smart home devices which need 2.4ghz only.
    • Setting these up was very easy with the google home app and the WiFi works extremely well and fast
    • I’ll still stick with Google’s smart home system because it’s worked with no problems prior to this episode with the router, but the Nest WiFi is pure junk until Google decides to update the software.
    • We purchased a Nest 2-pack router (advertised for 4400 sq ft) for our future home taking advantage of a sale, but installed it in the present home anyhow (2200 sq ft)
    • Both installed exactly as directions stated and step by step instructions frown Google Home app
    • Our Smart Home devices prefer the Nest WiFi signal vs the Google WiFi points when setup together
    • and I have typically 17-20 various devices and smart home devices connected at any one time
