Google Nest WiFi Router 2 Pack (2nd Generation) – 4x4 AC2200 Mesh Wi-Fi Routers with 4400 Sq Ft Coverage

    • I always use wired backhaul to connect all of them together to provide the best mesh network.
    • Google updates firmware and the network becomes unstable, unusable for WFH — and they’re not fixing it after more than a month
    • In difficult spots it is as bad as the default ATT network was before we upgraded it with an additional node
    • Tried and tried with these units and they wrecked my network
    • But things that should be simple, simply don’t work unless you find ways to work around them... like unplugging the nest, setting up another router matching your WiFi name and password that is only broadcasting 2.4, connect the device to the fake network, then turn plug your routers back in... to get them to work
    • My only complaint is the inability to split the network in to 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks
    • Second one in my bedroom similarly took little time with no hard network connection required
    • It is also very simple to use but provides very clear network status and features to manage or prioritize devices
    • Thought with all Googles money they could at least hire some good network engineers and staff a remote call center during COVID but apparently not
