The graphics and flow of this game is extremely incredible!!
The graphics are spectacular and the game play is so realistic.
I like this game because it has the best graphics in a car game
As has been mentioned many a time in other reviews, the graphics for this version are as visually stunning as any game I've seen to date for the PS 2 console, or even for a computer game
Plus, the graphics are probably the best of any racing game ever
Grand turismo was the first ps2 game i had ever bought.
so if u want any racing game get all 3 grand turismo games ok
this game is a challenging, but very fun(if u hav alots of free time).in the game, its very hard 2 make turns, u either crash into walls or get hit by cars behind u cause u stopped 2 long
but I would still recommend it to someone who has not played any of the Grand Turismo games before
I bought Grand Turismo 3 A-spec about a year ago and i played it for a while
If you want to waste your money go ahead, but if you haveany respect for the gaming industry and a good taste in games, you will purchase a quality title such as Red Faction or Twisted Metal Black

Have patience, save your money up for some terrific upgrades, and crush the competition!I just wish I had more than 5 stars to give to this one!
Beat races, win money, buy cars you could never afford in real life.
That was my mistake and it took me a while to gain enough money to get a better car that was worthwhile to upgrade
It has everything a true gamer could want, endless replay enjoyment and value, awesome graphics and sound, completely realistic physics
the sound is pale in comparison to GT2(The best of Gran turismo soundtracks)
The graphics are just fantastic, the sound is good and the music aint bad
Sound is a little disappointing when you consider the leaps and bounds the graphics have come on - the cars still don't sound as good much as you expect, even when modified
Otherwise the graphics are gorgeous, the sound is great, and the physics are perfect.
The fact that this game is now only $19.99 because of the "Greatest Hits" campaign is amazing
This fact will frustrate some to the degree that it addicts others
Furthermore, I like the fact the GT series uses real world cars I can relate to
I love the fact that tire wear becomes a major issue in the higher levels.
The only downsides are the predictable A1, and the fact that you can only win the car from every group of races once in the whole game, (unless you use 2 memory cards)
Some people may complain about the relatively low number of cars (approx
Anyways the graphics are so good people will ask you what channel you're watching
and it was delayed so much so they could add more cars and the cars dont all handle the same (which makes me think did these people even buy the game or just blowing smoke up peoples
the cars look very realistic and the tracks and environments are great but the people on the sides watching look like paper cut outs
no one complained about it, why are people complaining about
I hated the fact that you had to pass the damn license test before you could even race
i finally got a faster car.the only bad things are the handling is pretty tough, but i got used to it , and the licenses are really hard to get
A few bad things about the game is that the licenses are really a pain to earn (the A licenses is easier to earn then the B licenses), also there are no Ferrari cars to choose from.
Now, for people who are playing the game:I've got both the Super and Rally licenses, so I feel I can say this: Some of the tests are needlessly sadistic, especially when you flunk for knocking over a rubber cone or brushing a railing
This has all the track maps, cars, license guide, and bonus cars won in each race and series race.
now?I have seen people suggesting Twisted Metal Black over GT3....that's depressing.
It is a great buy, and if your contemplating on whether to purchse this or Red Faction, which is probably the best 1st person shooter out, my reccomendation is to buy Gran Turismo, and wait for Metal Gear Solid 2, which is going to be explosive, and your going to need one of the fast cars in this game to get to the store before it sells out in the brief probably 10 minutes the store opens
rear and mid engine cars do not flair as wildly out of control as in the past, and the new wet ground physics are great.
If you want to waste your money go ahead, but if you haveany respect for the gaming industry and a good taste in games, you will purchase a quality title such as Red Faction or Twisted Metal Black
If you are simply looking for entertaining game...try Twisted Metal Black
Nobody should buy an american made car unless its the dodge viper
The sound in Gran Turismo 3 is equally impressive: everything from the Dodge Viper's primal growl to the high-strung whine of an Indy car is delivered with astonishing clarity - particularly if routed through a five-speaker home entertainment system
This game is a big ol heap o fun
For example, I am pretty certain that one cannot exchange the parts in a Dodge Viper to allow it to have over 1000 horsepower.
Well, I decide I'm going to tackle the first course, a relative oval-shaped track, with a souped up Dodge Viper
Yes I know that you can race against other people in the split screen mode, but who wants to be able to only see half of the screen.
but if you enjoy looking at and using cars and racing against another (split screen) or against computer cars, or against your own best laps (ghost image), then you need to buy GT3 because there will not be another racing game that matches it for some time
About not being able to see very far on the track and the screen is very dark, I really don't have much problem with that, and I have played at least more than 25 hours
Get it while you can, if you have a buddy or two, then you can link the playstation 2s and avoid the split screen
If the screen is too dark, try to adjust your TV brightness setting before complaining about the game, that's what I will do
But, this is not a pure sim, so this gripe can usually be overlooked
My only gripe with GT3 is the same problem I've had ever since it's first incarnation...the license tests
My personal biggest gripe: the controls are too hard to get used to with the gamepad.

The third title of the Gran Turismo series takes full advantage of the new PlayStation2 game engine, which is capable of rendering about 20 million polygons per second--roughly 10 times the number of total polygons of the series' previous installment, Gran Turismo 2
Real-time lighting forces your eyes to adjust to changing conditions, such as when a car rounds a turn and the sun comes out from behind a building to cause glare on the windshield
This makes the game harder, but more realistic
Heat rises off the ground and mist swirls around vehicles as they make their way across the racetrack.Gran Turismo 3 also features more than 100 distinct cars, each with different statistics, including the Subaru Impreza Rally, Dodge Viper GTS-R, and Mazda's RX-7 RS
Computer-controlled opponents benefit from enhanced artificial intelligence; they don't act like baby ducks following their mother, but instead respond to other cars, the course, and the conditions in much the same way that real drivers would
Pressure a car, and it will pressure you back; cut one off in the early part of the race, and expect to receive similar treatment down the course
They don't drive perfectly, either; some will spin out and make other mistakes over the course of a race.
