I had the rubber top of one six axis PS3 controller that ripped and was coming off

Rubber came little loose and they aren't grippy as before adjustment

Add a nice grip and taught feel to the oem sticks, but if any kind of grease present the stickier smoother rubber becomes super slippery as would be expected.

Followed the simple installation instructions and they work perfect on PS4 controllers with deteriorating rubber on the joysticks.

This leads me to think that after possibly another year or so I will have to replace the slips for new ones if they wear down to smooth rubber slips the same way the PS4's thumb sticks did.

Almost looks like the mold didn't get enough rubber all the way

As a result, when you rotate the thumbstick, the cover's rubber gets caught like a brake

They are great, work just as good as the original and protects the rubber from ware and tare

These grips fit tightly enough to stay on the rubber-free stick during the stress of intense game play

so I also like that these protect the left thumb stick rubber from ripping, which I had happen twice before purchasing these.

When I say the original rubber is missing, I mean that when the rubber started to split like it does on everyone's dual shock controllers, I used a razor knife to cut the remaining material off the stick leaving a slick plastic surface

At least until they fix the rubber ripping issue that plages what seems like a decent amount of people who play to many video games haha

If your DS4 is experiencing the common rubber wear issue then these will do serviceable job to tide you over until you can get a new controller

If the rubber is uneven before placing them on they wont fit right

If you have uneven rubber on your analogs, from wear, you may need to rip the rest off for it to fit on properly

The rubber is a bit sticky for my taste and irritates my thumb after moderate use.

However, they were clearly designed to fit perfectly OVER 100% of the original rubber, so it overshoots in spots where the original rubber is missing

, price is right, wish the rubber was a little sturdier

They are just cheap rubber covers that will wear down too and require you to buy more.

It's a good product but if your thumbstick is deteriorated in anyway the application of the product will not feel as flush with the existing rubber on the thumbstick as if the thumbstick rubber was still attached completely (mines was damaged only on the lower right hand corner of the left thumbstick and because of that I had to cut some lose torn rubber from my existing thumbstick to make the product seat neatly)

I wish my right joystick rubber would come off so I could replace it with one of these

To bad Sony can't make joysticks with good rubber so we would not have to get these..

Sony's PS4 did everything right except a short battery life and shoddy rubber coating on their controllers.

The rubber is a little more tacky than the default controller rubber

I somehow managed to cut one of the thumbsticks on my DualShock 4 and the rubber quickly started peeling away to the side (still unsure how I managed that, looks like a razor cut), so I purchased these to cover it.

These work fine on the DualShock 4 as long as you still have the original rubber in place

My dad plays xbox with his thumb nails, and grinds away the rubber on the joysticks

These work but the edges have rubber sticking out

If you have a hard time keeping your thumbs centered on the joysticks due to the slippery nature of your controller's original soft rubber then these will also greatly improve on that

My thumbs do not grip to these covers nearly as well as the original control stick rubber

Product is functional / fine but dont expect anything other than a small hollow rubber bit that will help grip somewhat and keep thumb-sticks protected

I have one of the controllers with the defective rubber, so removed the already torn rubber, and replaced with this

The top rubber part had worn out and torn from use

The rubber fits just well enough not to touch the controller when turning the sticks

I believe it's because of the problems above and the material they are made of (might be cheap rubber)

The original rubber on the grips on both my controllers started ripping after less than a year, great job sony......

We got these because it seemed the rubber on the controllers would wear off much easier than the previous PlayStation controllers and thought these would help protect them.

However, as these pads are a smooth rubber like material, with no texture, they offer very poor grip when compared to the original thumb tabs and become slick after a few moments of gameplay.

Very good, but you need to rip all the rubber off the stick first , then superglue this replacement on

Rubber is rubbing off just like on my joysticks on my controller.

This is basically just cheap rubber and it doesn't even fit properly of ps4
