Great package for learning everything you need to start

I am an absolute beginner with the guitar, so I figured this would be a good package to start with

Also, package is perfect, which makes guitar fully-protected

This is a good package for the money and a simple way to start playing with the book

Good deal for the price, though the quality is not the best, this will suit any beginner

I also wish the pack had included a guitar strap and a better instruction set, but for the price, I feel it was a really good deal.

But playing guitar also involves a great deal of technique which cannot be learned from a book or a recording.

This is a super great deal you cant beat and the guitar is fantastic!

I'm writing this review from a clueless very beginner perspective

Let alone, this won't be a beginner-friendly experience if you're just learning to play the guitar yourself

I give it 3 stars because it really is a nice looking beginners guitar but when my son received it a string was broken

I was initially pleased, however twangy the sound and useless the CD.

However we were unable to get a good sound out of the guitar.

Well, you get what you asked for a complete "for dummies" guitar set, if there isnt something you know how to do its in the book, the digital tuner makes tuning easy and the guitar itself sounds fine, i would have given this set a 5 star review but my fretboard came out of the box slightly damaged and the original strings it came with must have been 5 years old, bad sounding

The guitar is exceptional looking but the sound is garbage

The tuner was a bit funky to use, I have been success using a tuner app on my phone.

The guitar is good, the tuner hard to use and the instruction book is too small and hard to read.

We didn't like the tuner though and preferred an app we found instead.

I suggest spending a little more on a better guitar and tuner!

The book and accessories are awesome and really breaks everything down to help learning!

The book is easy to follow and the audio cd is great too

Has everything you need - guitar (sounds good) gig bag, picks, tuner (works well) and book (easy to understand)

It's for that reason that I do not recommend the book for people completely new to music

My advice for people looking at cheaper kits than this one is to think about how they react to frustration

Starter kit is awesome and the book is very easy to follow

Unfortunately the smallest string broke in a couple weeks.

Now lets get to the guitar strings, The G string was exceptionally loose

The strings sound decent, but you can replace them with some other, nicer sounding strings (which I did) pretty easily

The strings that came with it broke after one day of use and had it restrung.

(no protection for the guitar also the guitar case was ripped........) very vulnerable to damage thus the string that was broken when i opened the box was not surprising it would need to be replaced by going throuth the sound hole then out the face of the guitar

The neck of the guitar was broken and it was in the box for several weeks before we opened it because we were out of town...ughhhhh WASTE OF MONEY!

The neck on this guitar would be best for pre-teens or someone very petite (provided that the neck isn't bowed on that guitar )...

We took it to an instrument repair man and were told the neck is warped.

The guitar will not tune, the neck is warped which creates a ton of buzzing when played, and the strings (that came on the guitar) are bent
