Reviews around play (5.00 of 5)

  • However, the game case it came in is in terrible condition, all broken and taped shut, the game itself came in a small envelope and works as far as playing two songs goes
  • He enjoyed playing with this new game during his entire Christmas break.
  • The game includes a Career mode where you unlock songs by finishing them successfully, as well as a Quick Play mode where you can just play along with songs you've unlocked without worrying about a score, a Practice Mode which allows you to play all or just parts of a song as well as slow it down so you can nail the particularly tough parts at a slow speed before working on them at full speed.
  • I didn't do to well playing it at FYE, but you wouldn't have known that once I got the game home
  • I don't know if this is something they could work in later, but Microsoft's online play is so well done and so much fun that I'm always a little let-down when developers don't take advantage of it.

  • The musics are very good, the graphics are much better than the PS2 version, and the air guitar is more friendly.

Reviews around party (5.00 of 5)

  • It is truly the ultimate party game that everyone can enjoy!
  • Best of all, this makes an excellent party game with two guitars.
  • All in all, Guitar Hero II works very nicely for anybody who owns a Xbox 360, and handles as a great party game
  • this game is a great party game but i would not recommend it for younger kids as they will get frustated because on the harder levels it takes great finger dexterity
  • It's a fantastic party game and if you've never played it, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

Reviews around time (5.00 of 5)

  • I took very good care of it because I knew if I did, it would last a very long time like my other ones
  • My nephew was having a great time playing this and really loves it
  • The songs are great, there's a practice mode, you can play co-opt & against someone, you have the option to purchase more songs through xbox live, you can play against or with other people from all over online, and whether your young or old everyone can really have a great time.
  • On the screen you see a scrolling guitar neck that displays "notes" that must be played at the correct time by holding down the correct fret button and strumming on the guitar's strum bar.

Reviews around feature (5.00 of 5)

  • The Co-op play with the bass-guitar mode is a lot of fun and a cool feature.
  • If you're going to put new content into a game, then make it a sequel, that way the people without an X Box 360 also can enjoy the new features!
  • In any case, the Xbox 360 version offers unique features not available on PS2, including high-resolution graphics (the PS2 is an absolute eyesore in comparison), achievements, and online leaderboards.
  • Jury's still out until we see the content, but that's a pretty cool feature that'll keep this game fresh for a long time
  • If that was included, this may have been as close to perfect as I could have hoped for

Reviews around feel (5.00 of 5)

  • There are many pro and cons out there for guitar hero controllers, but I must say that although the Activision X-ploer guitar controller might not have the best feel or precision like some of the others, it is in my opinion the most reliable for beginner or novice players.
  • Nailing down hair-raising solos perfectly is a great feeling, especially on expert.
  • Third, everything seems to be made smaller on the xbox 360 guitar so it is hard to get a good feel for the guitar when playing.
  • I loved the feeling of nostalgia until the blue button just stopped working outta nowhere in 2 days of me getting it.

Reviews around graphic (4.26 of 5)

  • As long as the graphics aren't a distraction, that should be enough.
  • The musics are very good, the graphics are much better than the PS2 version, and the air guitar is more friendly.
  • They're still nice graphics and the character antics are pretty funny to watch (I love watching the characters run from one end of the stage to the other, it cracks
  • The graphics are greatly improved and the ability to download more songs via Xbox live is amazing!
  • The graphics for this aren't staggeringly better then the PS2 version, but on the other hand, they don't really need to be either.

Reviews around way (3.95 of 5)

  • The guitar is great and overall, the game is a great way to get away from ordinary games and do something different
  • This is of course an easy way for them to rack up much higher sales prices for themselves
  • its easy to play, and challenging when it comes to how cool you rock your way through..honestly... i bought an xbox 360 because of the game
  • The smash hit Guitar Hero finally makes its way to the 360 and it is easily the best in the series so far.
  • You tour and work your way up the line with sponsers and such.

Reviews around song (3.59 of 5)

  • While playing you must keep your "rock meter" in the green/yellow or you will fail the song
  • There are some songs that are so slow, and so easy, it's almost boring to play
  • Some are incredibly easy (fail a song on medium, reach a 8x combo, beat easy mode, etc.
  • Its just a distraction sometimes.3.There are a few songs that are almost impossible (Jordan by Buckethead)Other than those 2 cons this is a great game overall.
  • The interface is great, the songs are great, and you really get hooked into the fun

Reviews around guitar (3.22 of 5)

  • Since it's very possible that he/she may not have noticed the guitar had any issues without playing it for awhile, I give them the benefit of the doubt
  • The songs are great, the kids loved decorating the guitar with the stickers that came along, it's been lots of fun
  • The guitar is so cool, it feels like you are actually playing a real one
  • I also like how you can practice just like you would a real guitar, and over 70 songs to chose from should keep you busy for a while.
  • The game is OK the guitar had a wire burn out in it about a month after we got it now its useless.

Reviews around price (1.00 of 5)

  • A steep price when you can find a deal on the game its self for PS2 for under $30
  • The only downside I see with the DLC is the price which explains the three star overall rating
  • The Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero II comes in at the steep price of $90, $20 higher than it's Playstation 2 predecessor.
