Reviews around character (5.00 of 5)

  • There are a lot more songs and guitars this time around to spend your money on, as well as two new characters [that can be unlocked].Graphics:
  • First of all, this is a wonderful game, awesome tracks, awesome guitars, awesome venues, and awesome characters
  • Much better song list, challenging modes, and cool new guitars, characters, and venues
  • The new characters are cool and some of the new content are the alternate costumes and more guitars to buy in the shop
  • But the songs aren't quite as good as in the first one, unless you're a fan of more trendy titles.

Reviews around hero (5.00 of 5)

  • If you love Guitar Hero, there should be no reason why you shouldn't get this one.
  • Nonetheless, I recommend Guitar Hero 2 to anyone trying to find something new out there in the video game world to be addicted to and have tons of fun, and moreso to seasoned Guitar Hero players
  • I loved the first Guitar Hero so much, I HAD to have the next one.
  • If you liked the original Guitar Hero, then you'll love this one.
  • - The Rolling Stones"Sweet Child O' Mine" - Guns N' Roses5

Reviews around feature (5.00 of 5)

  • Another great feature of Pro Face Off in GH2 is that you can view your "score" by sections and see which of you did better on each section (100%, 80%, 24% etc) and who wins the game by points, who is the best performer (not always the one with the most points).
  • I guess I'll play through to the end, but ironically won't be taking advantage of the great new features that I love- because why practice songs that I don't like
  • They also have a nice feature for practicing at slow speed, which is great for someone like me who doesn't usually play video games and who has never picked up a guitar
  • One nice feature is that each player gets to set their difficulty level
  • Love this game, has great features and I love all the songs

Reviews around music (4.70 of 5)

  • With the exception of a handful of classic rock songs like Free bird, the music seems limited to 80s & early 90s, and mostly on the 80s side
  • The music is great, the challenge is great, this is just an all around fun game.
  • If you love music, if you love Guitar Heros I, this is a game for you.
  • The first time I played this game I was amazed how much it felt like playing the real guitar, plus the music was great
  • It is much easier, but this game has better music and is a better overall game

Reviews around bird (4.45 of 5)

  • IT allows me to beat songs like Expert mode Free Bird (on slowest
  • Same with "Free bird" Just terrible
  • With the exception of a handful of classic rock songs like Free bird, the music seems limited to 80s & early 90s, and mostly on the 80s side
  • For those who beat GH1 in expert, I have three words for you, "Misirlou" and "Free Bird
  • The last track to win the game is Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird, which starts out easy enough but gets a little crazy towards the end

Reviews around guitar (4.15 of 5)

  • The first time I played this game I was amazed how much it felt like playing the real guitar, plus the music was great
  • o even gets involved just holding a guitar and pretending to "rock out".
  • The practice mode is great to learn the patterns of difficult guitar solos.
  • If you love music, if you love Guitar Heros I, this is a game for you.
  • I bought this game for my boyfriend, and now his friend bought an extra guitar so they can jam together

Reviews around fun (4.03 of 5)

  • I am sure you "seasoned musicians" out there may find this great fun as well.
  • Overall, the game is great fun and satisfies the "closet rocker" in me
  • On the whole, the game is terrific fun, and can be most
  • Very annoying to the kids, but quite fun for me!
  • This is probably the most fun I've ever had playing a video game - you'll spend hours unlocking all the stuff, perfecting all the riffs, solos, etc...

Reviews around mode (3.97 of 5)

  • Another feature that would be nice is the ability to play through the game in cooperative mode
  • Believe me, there's some songs that are a great frustrating challenge to try and beat in hard and expert modes
  • There's now a cooperative mode and training that'll teach you how to play the SG guitar controller
  • The new two-player cooperative mode (available in addition to two competitive modes) is great
  • It would have been cool to have a cooperative career mode

Reviews around rock (3.65 of 5)

  • Honestly, it's bands like them that are RUINING rock with their pop-crap.
  • Basically, you play the guitar along with some killer rock and metal songs and try to hit as many notes as possible
  • Now, it they were smart they would come out with a classic rock version, a blues version, and a metal version
  • this game is awsome if you are a headbanger, punker,or a plain old rock junkie like me but the only problem with the game is that the songs arent as good as GH1 so if you want to by a gituar hero game I recomend GH1!
  • There's a good variety of songs, from punk to classic rock to newer stuff (like "Woman" by Wolfmother and "Laid to Rest" by Lamb of God)

Reviews around song (3.32 of 5)

  • There are many great replayable songs, but even with the 50+ songs, the first Guitar Hero songs were more of a joy to play
  • Basically, you play the guitar along with some killer rock and metal songs and try to hit as many notes as possible
  • Some of the songs are kinda wierd but the other songs are great
  • If you play good, fans will wave lightersMisses- A few terrible songs
  • This game is very playable because as you get better you get more songs to play, and you can customize your own guitar hero more

Reviews around war pigs (2.18 of 5)

  • The soundtrack is simply amazing, way better than the first, with great songs like Surrender by Cheap Trick, Strutter by Kiss, Message in a Bottle by The Police, War Pigs by Black Sabbath, Cant You Hear Me Knockin by The Rolling Stones, Sweet Child O Mine by Guns N Roses, Laid to Rest by Lamb of God,
  • A great mix of rock and metal from the 80's, 90's, and today (not to mention some older classics such as War Pigs and Misirlou)
  • My kids are 7 & 12 and they love it as much as we do
  • (You Really Got Me, Carry On Wayward Son, War Pigs
  • But the songs aren't quite as good as in the first one, unless you're a fan of more trendy titles.

Reviews around note (2.18 of 5)

  • Hours of fun trying to score higher and hit the hard notes.
  • The good:-more challenging XD-if you're stuck on a hard song you can go into "practice mode" and practice sections of the song at a slower speed-introduces new 2-player modes including "pro faceoff" where both players play EXACTLY the same notes, and "cooperative" where each player can select their own difficulty settings (i.e. one plays easy, and the other plays expert)-"Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns n' Roses, "Killing in the name" by Rage against the machine, "Heart-Shaped Box" by Nirvana
  • When you miss the notes the songs sounds so horrible that it is actually funny.
  • - The Rolling Stones"Sweet Child O' Mine" - Guns N' Roses5
  • selves rather than have some kids who bitch because they dont know the classics (note: I am in no way calling all these songs classics, for example Avenged
