Reviews around music (5.00 of 5)

  • An enjoyable music game, but a little tough on Guitar Hero newbies
  • You don't have to like rock music to play it, you eventually become in the game.
  • Just some good music, and reinforces eye/hand coordination.
  • If you prefer more mainstream alternative music like Radiohead and REM than RB is your ticket
  • If you've got 3 friends or family members who are into it, there is no better way to enjoy some great music together than with RB

Reviews around player (5.00 of 5)

  • What's extra fun for me is that my husband is an excellent bass guitar player, so we actually have fun "jamming" together!
  • However, me being an avid player of the series and Rock Band, I enjoy the difficulty boost
  • I think if more than one person in your house is playing get rock band but if not get this game because its a better one player game to me.
  • I guess I am more an avid player of the Guitar Hero series and not
  • The attacks vary in their nastiness and while I was skeptical of this new aspect of the game it's actually a nice twist for those more competitive players

Reviews around purchase (5.00 of 5)

  • I highly recommend future purchases through the same site
  • Great family fun...highly recommend the purchase of this game!
  • Worth the purchase as an entry level bundle if you don't have Guitar Hero II, or if you have the money to burn.
  • Great family fun...highly recommend the purchase of this game!

Reviews around list (5.00 of 5)

  • Negatives aside, Guitar Hero III is still a very fun installment of the popular rhythm series, and this installment has the best track list yet.
  • Guitar Hero III doesn't do much different than the last installment did, but what it does offer is by far the best track list to be seen in a Guitar Hero game yet.
  • The game feels familiar, yet this is mostly everything done right that was wrong with Guitar Hero II on the 360.Topping off the improvements is an excellent song list, and like before I find myself looking into bands that I had heard about but never experienced.
  • Guitar Hero has nicer graphics than rock band and a decent song list, but it is a lot more fun to play with other people.
  • It has the best track list yet and it is very challenging on hard and expert

Reviews around graphic (5.00 of 5)

  • Better plasitc guitar design and awesome graphics and challenges on the Xbox 360 version
  • Guitar Hero has nicer graphics than rock band and a decent song list, but it is a lot more fun to play with other people.
  • The graphics are very good and the sound is stereo quality (well, if you run through a receiver, anyway -- as I do).
  • Over all the game is fun, and the graphics are great, with funny little cut scenes here and there.
  • The graphics have been improved over GHII, but not by much.

Reviews around rock (4.56 of 5)

  • I wish that there would be a Guitar Hero Hair Metal version, and a Classic Rock Version
  • At first, this game struck me as far more difficult than Rock Band or Guitar Hero 1 & 2, and it is
  • Length: --:-- MinsSo which to buy, Rock Band or "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock"
  • Everything from Classic rock, to modern alternative, classic metal, heavy metal, euro-rock, it's all there
  • It doesn't hurt, of course, that a lot of the songs are "classic rock" that I grew up loving.

Reviews around condition (4.42 of 5)

  • Plus, as I gamer who prefers not playing with people I don't know, I was disappointed at the number of achievements that can only be obtained through online ranked match play, the most competitive of the online game types
  • The guitar I received was in worse condition than was stated and the buttons did not work properly
  • The game that came with it is in excellent condition and works well
  • Buttons werent responsive, i dont know how that is "good" condition.
  • Guitar in horrible condition and buttons did not work.

Reviews around fun (4.40 of 5)

  • Definitely met the expectations, worked like a charm, it's fun, and definitely worth it all of the damn way, every day.
  • Guitar Hero 3 continues it's excellent game play and fun from previous titles
  • The game itself is so much fun, plus everything works in top condition, it shipped and delivered very quick and is still working perfectly after i got it almost a year ago
  • However, the fun of playing drums in RB should not be underestimated
  • Great family fun...highly recommend the purchase of this game!

  • Plus, as I gamer who prefers not playing with people I don't know, I was disappointed at the number of achievements that can only be obtained through online ranked match play, the most competitive of the online game types
  • The price was a little steep but its definitly worth it

Reviews around song (4.00 of 5)

  • Even though I am not very good at it, we all really enjoy the songs that are used.
  • Neversoft has finally figured out what Harmonix never could; you can have difficult songs on the game that aren't metal (i.e. Muse's "Knights of Cydonia" or QotSA
  • They have better songs and the gear you get actually works.
  • There aren't that many songs to really pick from and unlocking them isn't really that hard.
  • still has the basic bevy of selectable avatars, graduated difficulty in 40-odd songs as you progress through career mode, along with a two-player co-op mode that's probably never seen the light of day

Reviews around guitar (3.72 of 5)

  • The first guitar I received one of the buttons did not work at all
  • I recieved the game very quickly after I ordered it, and soon discovered that the guitar was defective
  • The game works fine but the guitar they gave me has many issues
  • The game is a bit more challenging, the black guitar is awesome!
  • The guitar would be enough for me to give this game 4 stars

Reviews around boss (1.00 of 5)

  • I finally got through the last tier of songs on hard, but now I'm stuck on the impossibly hard and cheesy boss battle (more on this later).
  • In summary, Neversoft really needs to go back to the drawing board and find out what Harmonix did to make the previous GH games fun because they have missed the boat here with the downright frustrating difficulty, stupid boss battles, and an overall average song list.
  • in addition they didn't have stupid boss battles just to make the game harder and more frustrating for no good reason.
  • With this silly boss-battle machanic, they now push this problem to the extreme
