I took one star off because of my annoyance with MySongBook, but beyond that, Guitar Pro is a great tool that will keep you occupied, but at the end of each session with it, you'll feel like you accomplished quite a lot.

Learning how to use Guitar Pro 7 is a steep learning curve, but once you're more comfortable with it, you can accomplish a lot without having to spend a fortune for all sorts of equipment, both real and virtual.
