Dad also benefits because he's also big green tea drinker, and the ability to control the water temperature is also a super nice underrated feature especially for brewing green/white/oolong teas.-When it comes to tea especially for those whom may not understand, if the water temperature is too high tea tends to produce much higher levels of acids and that has a negative effect on your GI tract.-Also, the LED lights are a neat plus and allow you to easier see how close the water is to boiling in lower light settings.-I highly recommend this kettle, and although I already have gone through 2 electric kettles I may buy this one for myself

you can see the bubbles fairly quickly once you've pressed start, large capacity (8 cups), looks nice on the counter, variable temp settings to give your different beverages optimal taste & a stay warm feature if you need to keep hot water for a length of time.*CONS: I wish the lid came off all the way as I think that would make it even easier to clean, the stay warm feature expires after 20 seconds once you remove from base which seems short and you feel a bit rushed, the lighting is cute but some might find it gimmicky - however, it's helpful in letting you know when it's on

My only "complaint" which is so very minor is that the "keep warm" light is close to another
