I'm sure the single player is fun, but nobody that I know even messes with it so be sure to have an Xbox LIVE account because that's where it's at with Halo 3.

While you do get aided by your fellow marines (and an unlikely alien ally), it's clear that the bad guys are all focusing on taking you out.

I just tried out like fracture and army of 2 and bad company and riddic and all the bad guys look generic and horrible graphics wise

im not even sure what the story is--i just ran, and shot--saw a random cut scene-repeat.- the reason most people play halo is for multi-player-- which is equally horrid--the leveling system is still very un-balanced--so what if everyone is a sargeant--there is still that level 45 general guy that sneaks in who just happens to be playing his first lonewolf--level 45 versus level 13--sounds fair? not to mention that skill is not required--aim and shoot, and hope your guy lives--its fun to watch the theatre and watch your character dump 2 clips of needlers into someone as they turn and kill you with 3 shots--or maybe that sticky bomb that either passes thru--or just doesnt stick at all--leading to your doom--the mauler weapon could be the worst item ever put into a video game--the weapons are unbalanced, and in the end, its luck of the draw--crouching and sneaking rarely come in handy--since you can sneak up on a guy with his back turned, melee him twice, and he will turn and hit you and you die

The fact that the final boss in Halo 3 is the monitor from the first game is completely predictable, and aside from being a stupid "fight" where you shoot him 4 times with a laser, it doesn't make sense that 343 Guilty Spark (the monitor) sided with Master Chief in the first place--he actually says in Halo 3 that he has one primary function--to "help you, as I always should have done

If you see an army of grunts commanded by one elite, and kill the elite, the cowardly grunts might run away screaming or even decide that since they are going to die anyway, they'll light up a grenade and run at you kamikaze style

a great fps for split screens, most other fps has limited split screen

And, Warhawk supports split-screen online, which means you can have 4 people playing in your house split-screen on the same TV while you all play against up to 28 other players online!Compared to these multiplayer games, Halo 3 SUCKS.

The graphics were awesome (big screen hd tv helped), there was just so much of everything to look at, and a second person can actually be the navigator (especially on levels like Cortina!)***edit 02-11-

Later on, the enemy to both factions, the sentient parasite called the Flood, also partially invades Earth

Then in Floodgate, you go back through the same level and kill the Flood.

Lighting effects, weapons, and vehicles are first rate, the Flood infested levels are also quite excellent, especially the last one and everything has a nice creepy Cronenberg-esque look to it

Cheif returns to Earth in hopes to stop Truth from finding a activating the Arc to kill the Flood along with everything else.
