Interestingly, I noticed is that a lot of water gets lost in steam when rapid boiling so make sure you put enough water for your coffee or you might end up not quite to the top of your mug!

I noticed if you overfill, the rapid boil will result in boiling over, but this would happen with any container that us overfilled.

It makes an eerie whistling noise sometimes when it's boiling.
