Hamilton Beach (48464) Coffee Maker with 12 Cup Capacity & Internal Storage Coffee Pot, Brewstation, Black

    • The unit I had previously was the one with the "separate water tank on the side" to be able to lift off to fill
    • Once you fill the fresh water tank (there is an easy to see, and read, indicator for how much water you are putting in), you then fit the "brewed coffee reservoir" right into the maker (now sitting empty over the "fresh water reservoir"), allowing the handle to fall into folded resting position , , , place the filter basket with your measured amount of ground coffee atop the "filler bucket / coffee reservoir" . .
    • I thought the seperate water tank and dispenser system would make it easier for them to use
    • The heating element screwed to the top of the (lower) water tank is mounted too high at the rear end, and so the back end of the heat transfer plate in the (upper) coffee tank rests on it and rocks back and forth, When testing with plain water the temperature at the back end of that plate exceeded 200F and localized incipient boiling could still be seen at that point an hour after the brew cycle ended
    • In case anyone has any problems with setting it up, you need to fill both the water tank and the water tank underneath that with water, I do not know why, but you do
    • I am adjusting to the fact that it is tall & has a few more "movable" parts to fill the water-tank .
    • I am opting for the Cuisinart dc3000 that has the filter in the water tank because it looks like a better bet.
    • I also don't get why the filling of the water tank is difficult to some, because the tank (in which the brewed coffee ends up in) id portable
    • Started leaking, then coffee would drain from reservoir to the water tank almost immediately.
    • Then you have to fill the bin and bring it back to the coffee maker and pour the water into the water tank
    • And if you put 2 cups in the lower water tank and then the higher one it'll give you two cups, a little math involved but anyway its a nice product and I'd recommend
    • I thought the seperate water tank and dispenser system would make it easier for them to use
    • And it has a sput in the back where you can pour the water out nicely into the actual water tank - no spills or anything
    • It is a little bulky when filling the water tank, which can spill ealily, but alright.
    • You have to take basket out to fill water such a hassle going back to my first brew station with water tank is on the side!
    • As with so many other reviews here, the seals failed and half of the coffee would end up back in the fresh water tank.
    • The water tank and coffee grounds holder all come out which I expected to be a nice
    • It is very quiet my old coffeemaker sputtered as it was finishing brewing this doesn't make that sound
    • The LED screen should have been a dark background with lit numbers, as it's difficult to read without being 8 inches away.- Condensation will remain in the top lid indefinitely, unless you hand dry
    • This was purchased for use in our home, for occasional use for us personally, as well as when we are hosting guests
    • The carafe part is impossible to clean as it has so many nooks and crannies to
    • A very nice upgrade and working as it should.
    • The only negative thing I would say is after awhile the coffee doesn't seem as hot as when it was initially made, but that really isn't much of a negative
    • and i, I've now owned this myself for going on 3 years and still works the same as when I first got it
    • The "warmer" works like the regular burner on a pot... even tho it keeps the liquid hot, it still has that burn taste after a couple hours (not as much as a
    • n’t turn the warmer back on without running another it
    • It would have been nice if they had put a littl e LED light under the brew tank to illuminate the cup as it is filling

    • We are tired of spending so much on the K Cups and worried about the plastic K Cups not being safe
