We thought that using the bold setting would correct the problem, but it hasn't, and 30% of the time we end up with a very weak pot of coffee that we must throw away and start over.

Not the worst pot we have had but does not keep coffee hot for any longer than 30 minutes and brewer basket is not very good and allows grounds into coffee because unable to allow good flow thru and overflows paper filter .

It’s actually a good safety feature, but it means that if you are planning to brew both a single cup and a pot atvaround the same time, be sure you make the single cup first, so that the pot will stay hot for two hours.
