now I use this product as a trash bin and and dishwasher containe,r that is certainly a useful purpose for this.
I tried the first recipe in the book, the more difficult vanilla ice cream recipe that includes 6 eggs and some cooking on the stove, and the resulting ice cream was fantastic
In summary, loud, but still a good value, delivers on its promises and includes an excellent recipe for vanilla ice cream.
I now need to lose the weight I have gained from eating my grandmother's recipe that I used to make custard ice cream.
I am amazed at how good this simple recipe tasted and how easy it was to use this ice cream maker
We love this ice cream maker, worked perfectly straight out of the box.
Price wise this was a cheap maker but it seems to have good quality.
You can obviously buy more expensive ice cream makers, but for those of us who do have budgets, this one fits the bill nicely, and the ice cream tastes just as good!
It's an affordable and very functional counter top ice cream maker
I wanted something to replace my Rival ice cream maker that lasted 20 years with occasional use
Great machine, worked pretty fast and the ice cream was delicious
This machine makes a grinding noise that is SO LOUD that one of my neighbors came by to check up on me, see if there was something wrong.45 minutes after it started, my ice cream base wasn't churned
Easy to use makes ice cream quickly a little noisy but a good machine.
The machine is very loud, I had to move it to a different room and shut the door
The machine simply slows down and stops when it is done
We have also found out that it helps if you can use cold ingredients and a frozen tub
I also read that putting it on the door of your freezer helps as well as being sure all ingredients are cold when making the ice cream to prevent any melting and refreezing which forms ice crystals.
The first surprise was how expensive the ingredients were - heavy whipping cream, half and half, eggs, and the ice cream salt
It is easy to use, my older kids enjoy making homemade ice cream with healthier ingredients!!!
I'm one of the few that's continued using it, and was shocked when it stopped working and all my ingredients were wasted
I have an outlet next to my kitchen sink that I place the maker in, so filling it with the ice and salt is not a problem if I'm messy about it
, cord was a little short, but unit fit in my kitchen sink and cord reached the wall outlet just fine.
so I let it go (stupid choice) as I then couldn't find one I liked as much and had to buy another one of these
However, I have to give a low rating because normally one places an ice cream maker in the kitchen sink, "they even recommend it in the manual", and the 24" cord would just about make it into the snowy salty wet sink below, causing what I feel to be an electrical hazard.

In the middle of a batch the motor started to make an extremely loud clunking noise and the paddle would no longer spin
We covered our machine with a towel to help in production and it definitely dulled the noise some, but it really is not that loud - quieter than our washing machine.
If you cannot handle loud noises, I would not recommend this model.
can opener - maybe as loud as the white noise from a box fan on low
But the loud noise for almost 30-40 minutes was way too much for me
