the nameplate on the front of the unit base is nothing more than an aluminum and paper sticker; mine simply fell off within the first couple of days, I assume due to the radiating warmth from the heating unit in the hotplate loosening the adhesive; the pause-and-pour functionality is very basic and simplistic and can be tricky, in that if you do not get the carafe re-positioned very quickly and absolutely perfectly realigned, you end up with spillage over the base of the unit and burning coffee all over the hot plate, which over time will ruin the surface of the plate; its small size translates to a small access to the water reservoir and is a touch difficult to fill; try as I may, I often have trouble pouring the coffee from the tiny carafe without spilling

The coffee tastes fine---I just wish these coffee makers would find a way to keep the "hot plate" part from scuffing and deteriorating so quickly.
