Reviews around size (5.00 of 5)

  • I went with the 14 cup version and it is a decent size.
  • The size is very compact for 7 cups and it looks pretty good
  • Awesome product and great rice cooker but the medium size 7 cups will be to small
  • We also use it to cook rice, and the cooker is the right size for our family.
  • It does what's supposed to do and does it well, easy to use and perfect size

Reviews around job (4.61 of 5)

  • We have yet to use it for steaming vegetables, but it does a nice job making rice
  • I bought a cheap-o rice cooker for $20 and it works better
  • Other than that, I DO recommend the unit because it does a nice job cooking and is very easy to clean.
  • It does a great job, even with Calrose rice and is fairly easy to take apart and clean.
  • Very easy to use and does a fantastic job of cooking rice and other grain cereals.

Reviews around cereal (4.56 of 5)

  • Hot cereal exploded all over the kitchen.
  • Works great but the buttons have to much resistance causing you to move the unit when you press themIt does cook rice and hot cereal great though.
  • I have not tried making hot cereal, but that is next on my "to-do" list.
  • When I saw that it also cooks hot cereal, my eyes almost bulged out of my head - lol
  • The hot cereal feature works really well and everything runs like I have come to expect from this brand.

Reviews around feature (4.33 of 5)

  • I like the features but do not like that it "crisps" the bottom of everything I cook.
  • My favorite feature is the warmer after the rice cooks, so if the other parts of the meal aren't finished yet, the rice stays warn without getting dried out or burnt.
  • I like the features but do not like that it "crisps" the bottom of everything I cook.
  • The removable condensation cup near the hinge which catches drips when the cover is open is an especially nice feature
  • The features are great and it makes wonderful white rice

Reviews around product (4.10 of 5)

  • Truly a terrible, terrible product
  • Product works as expected and makes rice cooking much easier

Reviews around pot (3.86 of 5)

  • Although the instructions state that the pot is dishwasher safe, after washing the pot, it started to develop a black coating that rubs off - probably aluminum oxide rusting
  • My old cooker was one of those simple on-off models without a digital display, but it did the job and managed to crank out pot after pot of perfectly cooked rice (all varieties of white and brown) without sticking or burning
  • After cooking, I will immerse the left rice about 2-3 hours, naturally break off, and then clean this pot every time using tap water, don't use any soft sponge.

Reviews around time (3.75 of 5)

  • We're having a problem with the water spraying out the top pretty much every time
  • The rice is cooked pretty good, the time is also pretty good.
  • Simple to use, easy to set delay timer, perfect rice each time.
  • The rice comes out perfect every time, but it makes a big starchy mess out of the top vent
  • Some times it comes out a little sticky, but there is nothing like just pressing a button and not having to watch it.

Reviews around cook (3.32 of 5)

  • The directions that come with it are a little lacking unless you are cooking 7 cups of rice, which I do not, but once I figured out how much water to add for 2 cups of rice, it turns out perfect every time.
  • I bought a cheap-o rice cooker for $20 and it works better
  • Rice on edges gets hard when cooking
  • Product works as expected and makes rice cooking much easier
  • While this cooker does a nice job churning out consistent, well-cooked grains (I've tried several types of rice, farro, quinoa, and oatmeal), it is a major pain to clean

Reviews around direction (1.00 of 5)

  • The directions are confusing, the measurements not accurate for recipe cooking
  • The directions that come with it are a little lacking unless you are cooking 7 cups of rice, which I do not, but once I figured out how much water to add for 2 cups of rice, it turns out perfect every time.
  • I bought a cheap-o rice cooker for $20 and it works better
  • What is unusual are the directions, which contradict the directions and the ratio or rice to water that's found on my bag of rice.

Reviews around steam vent (1.00 of 5)

  • So just be ready for cleanup or placing paper towels over steam vent!
  • The steam vent's location allows liquid to condense and run down the outside of the cooker.
  • Whether I cook one cup or more of rice, the amount of water released through the steam vent floods the outer portion of the lid (under the top handle) with messy rice water.
  • It does particularly poorly with brown rice, with starchy water bubbling out of the steam vent on top and spilling onto the counter
