Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Trio Coffee Maker, 2-Way Single Serve & Full 12c Pot Compatible with K-Cup Pods or Grounds, Combo, Black (49976)

    • can make a good instant coffee by the cup with hot water
    • the single cup part of it could use some touch up it takes five minutes to make a single cup by the time it warms the water and put it in the cup
    • I love that I can fill an insulated mug up with coffee in one shot using ground coffee because the water reservoir allows you to put enough water for a full insulated mug.
    • You shouldn't have to put hot water in the pot and dump out before making a pot.
    • They both leaked water all over my counter at the two year
    • After having a kurig this coffee maker is very disappointing,it doesn't have a resevare to keep the water hot and it takes forever to brew
    • The water lid hinge connects to the hot water spigot and hot water leaks from this connection (always spitting out water while percolating, usually about 5 tablespoons of water that pools under the coffee maker.
    • Love that I do not have to have a keurig plus coffee pot on counter..and love that there is no water reservoir to worry about(keurig)..you only put in what you want to drink
    • I can either place my tea bag in the filter or I can just leave it in my cup while the pot brews my hot water
    • Just takes to long to warm up water
    • Although, I was expecting the heating element to boil hot water in a few seconds from single serve like a kureg, unfortunately it takes about as long as a regular coffee maker
    • Much easier to clean and fresh water for each brew is a real plus.
    • The water just drains out of the bottom of the pot instead if traveling through the pot to the carafe
    • Water doesn’t properly drain through the k-cup insert resulting in exploding cups with grounds everywhere
    • Others coffee machine is quick does not let water to observe all flavor of coffee my recommendation is to use clean water filtered water or good bottle water to get the best result
    • It was what I suspected - the hose that takes the hot water from the heating element to the spout was disconnected.
    • I had some luck over the years by running hot water through the lid in various positions, then shaking it madly.
    • Easy fill water reservoir with a see through
    • Water is not hot enough and it sputters and makes terrible coffer
    • While daughter and grand-daughter were standing next to unit operating the kerig area basically blew out hot water causing minor burns
    • I contacted Hamilton Beach customer service, who responded with a "form letter" blaming everything from the obvious cleaning practices to the bullsht difference between how soft water boils compared to hard water
    • Then the pot side will suddenly leak half the water and grounds all over the counter
    • Cleaned with vinegar and then ran clean water through.
    • Hoping after running some descaled through the carafe maybe I can get clean water to come out....
    • We have soft water, and I cleaned it regularly, so doubt it’s because of a clog anywhere, but more likely and issue with the pump pressure.
    • Received a used product with hard water stains all over it!
    • It started leaking from the bottom of the machine hot water
    • I used the single serve and it spewed coffee grounds and water everywhere
    • Add fresh water to whatever side you are brewing, select strength and hit brew, easy peasy
    • We only use bottled water in it since our well water clogs coffee makers.
    • This morning, I went to brew a carafe and hot water started leaking out all over the counter
    • I usually use the single side and then the coffee pot side for hot water for my kids’ tea and cocoa
    • I prefer not having a water tank so that every time I fill with fresh water.
    • I will give this pot a fair trial, but if this leaking water issue continues, I will return the Hamilton Beach to Amazon.
    • The second one I received, I had it for about 7 months and the water began leaking out of the bottom with no visible breaks in the line
    • Started to leak water
    • Water is leaking from the back onto the countertop.
    • The individual k cup option takes just as long to brew as the carafe - it’s not quick like a keurig I assume because the water has to warm each time
    • We only use the carafe side when guests are over, but it seems like the water never fully drains out of the
    • the water doesn’t stay hot in between brews.
    • TIP: as the manual suggests, let hot tap water sit in the carafe for a few minutes while you get everything else ready, then dump it out right before you brew the pot
    • water spews everywhere
    • would never buy again bad fillting internally cause massive leak of hot water others have found the same
    • It’s clean, filtered water only
    • Every time I used the single serve side, the lid would BURST open and spew hot water and coffee grounds EVERYWHERE
    • And I know it's clean water because I am pouring it from a freshly opening jug of distilled water
    • if you do, it traps water in the black plastic ring around the top of the carafe which sloshes around, pours into your coffee and is frankly generally gross.
    • Instructions say if you want hotter coffee, put hot water in pot to warm it, then empty before brewing ( you can't use hot water to brew).
    • WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN!Water not hot enough during making process which makes you have to use double the amount of coffee grounds to get the flavor you want
    • Then they then asked what kind of water I used - I advised that I have used my tap water as well as filtered water.
    • Water is not hot enough and it sputters and makes terrible coffer
    • Apparently if you want hot coffee, you need to put Hot water in and wait 1 minute to brew! Not a fan, nothing like waking up to lukewarm coffee
    • If you preheat it with hot water it helps... maybe it would too to use hot tap water to fill it woth before brewing
    • Although, I was expecting the heating element to boil hot water in a few seconds from single serve like a kureg, unfortunately it takes about as long as a regular coffee maker
    • The water lid hinge connects to the hot water spigot and hot water leaks from this connection (always spitting out water while percolating, usually about 5 tablespoons of water that pools under the coffee maker.
    • After 9 months of use, the water started leaking out of the bottom, even when I had not filled the reservoir
    • The issue is almost certainly a loose hose that pushes the hot water up and onto the coffee grounds
    • The single brew side quit working (will not pump water out).
    • The water well in the back is separate, which I wish it was combined.
    • You shouldn't have to put hot water in the pot and dump out before making a pot.
    • The mechanism actually causes basket to over fill and flood unit with hot water and grounds
    • So I bought a dollar store plastic pitcher for cold water and a fancy insulated coffee carafe to keep the big pot of coffee arm while someone makes a different cup of coffee in the K-cup side.
    • Only enough water for 1 cup at a time.
    • Means you must poor water for each cup
    • Water is a little difficult to pour into reservoir because of the narrow opening.
    • This version of the Hamilton Beach Flexbrew requires a vinegar cleaning, which involves up to four brew cycles, every other day to maintain proper water flow
    • Instructions say, "For hotter coffee, fill with hot water for brewing"
    • And it has a regular screen filter to just brew hot water or put in your favorite loose leaf
    • Tried cleaning with vinegar (we do have hard municipal water) but only one side started to work.
    • We have throughly cleaned it in case it was due to hard water, however it does not make a difference.
    • The insulated pot keeps the coffee warm all day if you fill it with hot water for a couple minutes before you make the morning pot
    • First I purchased it on Amazon hooked it up and water started leaking all over the kitchen
    • I’m used to coffee makers I can clean with hot water and distilled vinegar.2 years in won’t brew
    • The only problem would be if you start to brew and forgot to put water in, you must NOT immediately put cold water in until the heating coils cool down.
    • I filled single serve water reservoir with exactly 10 oz. of filtered cold water and brewed on Bold setting
    • I've taken it down and cleaned it several times with no luck, still leaks water while brewing, and the coffee it makes is mediocre at best...do yourself a favor and do not waist your money with this...buy a Keurig if you want the convenience of K
    • With it the water can't get out as fast as it's going in.
    • I actually like the fact that you have to add water for each single cup you make so the water is always fresh and it really doesn’t take that much longer.
    • I love the fact that on the single cup of coffee or pod the water gets really hot before it starts making the coffee it was a very good coffee pot I love it highly recommend it
    • The only problem would be if you start to brew and forgot to put water in, you must NOT immediately put cold water in until the heating coils cool down.
    • No matter what happens, the screen says to add water, and then the water never heats, but brews cold water
    • I also ran clean water through...came out with a tan/brown tinge to the water
    • THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS COFFEE POT LEAKS THE WATER OUT OF THE RESERVOIS
    • It seeps like it shoots the water through the grounds rather than dripping it through
    • After cleaning up then putting 4 cups of water in reservoir, turning on the carafe side caused hot water to drip out the bottom of the unit
    • True with any water product and hard water
    • This coffee maker is perfect when I want hot water for hot chocolate, or brew our morning pot of coffee
    • We have very hard water and these last longer than any other coffee maker we've tried.
    • I use it for hot water for tea
    • I knocked it loose entirely with very little effort, not a good seal for hot water
    • And since you can only fill enough water for one cup at a time,, you need to do this multiple times if you are making more than one cup.
    • We can't poor a cup of coffee without losing half the coffee from it leaking out as it is going into the cup
    • Works as it is supposed to.
    • The time works as it should and the k-cup side works extremely well
    • n’t had a problem since
    • n’t clean it quite frequently
