can make a good instant coffee by the cup with hot water

the single cup part of it could use some touch up it takes five minutes to make a single cup by the time it warms the water and put it in the cup

I love that I can fill an insulated mug up with coffee in one shot using ground coffee because the water reservoir allows you to put enough water for a full insulated mug.

You shouldn't have to put hot water in the pot and dump out before making a pot.

They both leaked water all over my counter at the two year

After having a kurig this coffee maker is very disappointing,it doesn't have a resevare to keep the water hot and it takes forever to brew

The water lid hinge connects to the hot water spigot and hot water leaks from this connection (always spitting out water while percolating, usually about 5 tablespoons of water that pools under the coffee maker.

Love that I do not have to have a keurig plus coffee pot on counter..and love that there is no water reservoir to worry about(keurig)..you only put in what you want to drink

I can either place my tea bag in the filter or I can just leave it in my cup while the pot brews my hot water

It was what I suspected - the hose that takes the hot water from the heating element to the spout was disconnected.

I contacted Hamilton Beach customer service, who responded with a "form letter" blaming everything from the obvious cleaning practices to the bullsht difference between how soft water boils compared to hard water

Then the pot side will suddenly leak half the water and grounds all over the counter

Cleaned with vinegar and then ran clean water through.

Hoping after running some descaled through the carafe maybe I can get clean water to come out....

We have soft water, and I cleaned it regularly, so doubt it’s because of a clog anywhere, but more likely and issue with the pump pressure.

Add fresh water to whatever side you are brewing, select strength and hit brew, easy peasy

We only use bottled water in it since our well water clogs coffee makers.

This morning, I went to brew a carafe and hot water started leaking out all over the counter

I usually use the single side and then the coffee pot side for hot water for my kids’ tea and cocoa

I prefer not having a water tank so that every time I fill with fresh water.

I will give this pot a fair trial, but if this leaking water issue continues, I will return the Hamilton Beach to Amazon.

The individual k cup option takes just as long to brew as the carafe - it’s not quick like a keurig I assume because the water has to warm each time

We only use the carafe side when guests are over, but it seems like the water never fully drains out of the

TIP: as the manual suggests, let hot tap water sit in the carafe for a few minutes while you get everything else ready, then dump it out right before you brew the pot

And I know it's clean water because I am pouring it from a freshly opening jug of distilled water

if you do, it traps water in the black plastic ring around the top of the carafe which sloshes around, pours into your coffee and is frankly generally gross.

Instructions say if you want hotter coffee, put hot water in pot to warm it, then empty before brewing ( you can't use hot water to brew).

Apparently if you want hot coffee, you need to put Hot water in and wait 1 minute to brew!Not a fan, nothing like waking up to lukewarm coffee

If you preheat it with hot water it helps... maybe it would too to use hot tap water to fill it woth before brewing

After 9 months of use, the water started leaking out of the bottom, even when I had not filled the reservoir

The issue is almost certainly a loose hose that pushes the hot water up and onto the coffee grounds

Tried cleaning with vinegar (we do have hard municipal water) but only one side started to work.

We have throughly cleaned it in case it was due to hard water, however it does not make a difference.

The insulated pot keeps the coffee warm all day if you fill it with hot water for a couple minutes before you make the morning pot

With it the water can't get out as fast as it's going in.

I actually like the fact that you have to add water for each single cup you make so the water is always fresh and it really doesn’t take that much longer.

I love the fact that on the single cup of coffee or pod the water gets really hot before it starts making the coffee it was a very good coffee pot I love it highly recommend it

This coffee maker is perfect when I want hot water for hot chocolate, or brew our morning pot of coffee

We have very hard water and these last longer than any other coffee maker we've tried.

I use it for hot water for tea

I knocked it loose entirely with very little effort, not a good seal for hot water

And since you can only fill enough water for one cup at a time,, you need to do this multiple times if you are making more than one cup.

We can't poor a cup of coffee without losing half the coffee from it leaking out as it is going into the cup

Works as it is supposed to.

The time works as it should and the k-cup side works extremely well
