The straight mute works fine, and as far as I can tell it sounds fine, though I've only played trombone a few years and do not have a large amount of experience with mutes

It is a great idea, but I can't help but think that Harmon didn't try very hard with it

The plunger mute sounds fine too, as long as you do not let it touch the bell while playing

You have too hold it yourself, and it is not an ideal situation

If they ever have a version 2.0, I would likely recommend it fullheartedly, but as it stands, only buy this if you cannot afford three separate.
