With the possible exception of After the Gold Rush, this is probably Neil Young's finest work

Unlike many bands and artists who have great success with albums that are not their best work, Neil Young's Harvest is an epic

While many cite "Harvest" as his best work, it's impossible to catergorize it that simply without hearing all of his output

What is interesting about this "Harvest" CD is how much of the best work here reflects where Neil Young was heading after that brilliant "heavy rock/psychedelic rock" flash of work with Crazy Horse (and his work before that with several other groups)

It's one of Neil's finest accomplishments, if not the best work he's ever done

Popular music has always been a reflection of popular culture, and this album is no exception.

If you are interested in the music of Neil Young from 1972 or in melancholy music with contemplative lyric, this CD will be interesting to you.

Even now at my age (59) now, the music still sounds so fresh

And my opinion about this album shows that, good music doesn't get old

This is a very good album, but the last thing Neil needed was a hit single with Heart of Gold and the instant success made Neil run the other way and he is about to make his best music of his career and fool everyone especially the critics.

If you like Neil Young's style, you'll love this classic

Because we love Neil Young, this CD was purchased for my husband for Father's Day and we are not disappointed.

If you appreciate good writing, you will probably enjoy this book

The writing is flat and amateurish, the characters are boring 1-dimensional caricatures, and the plot is repetitive without a single genuine scare, and it feels stagnant because there's too big of a cast to actually move a single story forward

Out on the Weekend' is a great country styled opener, with a great sound with lots of slide guitar in the background.

Apparently back in the 70's everybody had this handy little adjunct to topping oneself, ......makes me wonder how anyone was even left around to take part in the 80's!Whining voiced, embarrassingly hokey whingeing self-indulgence passing as serious social commentary, ......and all sounding like it was recorded(?) on a stolen $2 tape deck in some dingy drug den

so I needed the CD to do this and get a clean sounding result

The sound was scratchy and skipped a lot.

the guitar play sounds weird but great on this song.

The final discussion on the alien seemed to sum up in a way that seemed to hint that the entire story was irrelevant, which is a weird way to leave it.

Well it started good but after about 3/4 through it was obvious the write that given up on a good story and just have us a scrappy ending

Overall, I think it was a good and entertaining story and an enjoyable way to spend a few hours

My requirement for a good horror story is that the icky bug eats half the characters, there is lots of sex, and there is a liberal use of "colorful metaphors

Enjoyable, quick read that was a new twist on alien invasion fiction.

I don't usually read sci-fi, but this book was really good

This book has numerous problems, but the primary one is the huge cast of characters

"Phantoms" only Koontz's book was about 100X scarier and more original.

I really wanted to like this book, but in the end found the characters less than interesting and the writing over all to be rambling on about nothing.

But once again I'm blown away.. this book had me from page one.. action packed

OLD MAN was the second hit off this album and NEEDLE AND THE DAMAGE DONE is a superb live track.

Old Man' is a slower, reflective acoustic track with a fantastic chorus.

The number one hit-single "Heart of Gold" is obviously one of the reasons why the album was so successful, but of course the album has a lot of other great tracks

I didn't buy into DVD-A to have to listen to an inferior DTS track

The two symphonic tracks on this album alone would make it amazing.

Needle and the Damage Done," is among the greatest tracks ever written on the subject of drug abuse (a close second to "Sister Morphine" by the Stones), "Old Man" is like nothing else in Neil's catalogue and is a great track as well

Aside from having Heart of Gold, his only #1 single, it also includes several other great songs, as well as having a group of songs that are inherently accessible, with great melodies, soft, tender, soothing vocals, and pacing that anyone can enjoy
