These do a decent job of cleaning my daughters' clarinets, but the cloth is thin (it is silk, after all), and perhaps there needs to be a bit more of it to better reach the edges of the barrel

The silk does a fine job of absorbing moisture and gently polishing the bore

These do such a good job of absorbing the water, without the fear of them binding in the bore, that its hard to understand why swabs are made of anything else.
