Product Insights for Consumers

Today we live in a time where there is an abundance of information around us. For a person looking to buy something, it means going over reviews at different websites. With so many products and thousands of opinions about them, the noise makes it really hard to figure out what product is good for us and why it may suit us.

That’s why we have built Whydis. We use machine learning and artificial intelligence to go through millions of consumer reviews and feedback across the internet create reports that are easily digestible for everyone.

What are Product Insights?

“Insight is the value obtained through the use of analytics. The insights gained through analytics are incredibly powerful and can be used to grow your business while identifying areas of opportunity.” – Localytics Blog

Product Insights are a subset of Data insights, which refers to the understanding of a particular phenomenon you are able to achieve by using machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyze a dataset. It's not a new term and this practice is common in the business world. However, we are one of the few products out there that does product insights for the benefit of users.

Why are Insights Important?

All humans are different, this originality makes us special. Then why all product purchases have to rely upon generalized product rankings?

Previously it was quite hard to cluster opinions based on specific preferences hence all websites had to rely on a generic product rating system. But now product insights allow users of all skill levels to understand if a product really suits them or not. It's getting common to see hundred-plus reviews on all kinds of products on E-commerce websites. So how a user is supposed to know if a product is a good fit for them? It has become increasingly difficult to traverse the web of information. This is where product reports powered by product insights play an assisting role in making a purchase decision.

We feel it's incredibly important to not only understand what consumers like about a product, but also, what they don't. Not every product is perfect for everyone. Our bots focus on the critical items and highlight those in an effort to help you make a more informed decision on your purchase!
