A thought came into my head...why not find an external enclosure for the 1TB hard drive?
The most common configuration seems to be 4GB of RAM paired with a 1TB hard drive.
I would have ended up with a laptop with a relatively powerful CPU, a relatively powerful video adapter, 8GB of dual-channel RAM, a very fast M.2 SSD boot drive and a 1TB hard drive for plenty of storage space.
But then I had an extra 1TB hard drive, and I needed more storage space in my laptop.
