Got the package on time in secure box, looking very clean and pro., including HP 8300 desktop, envelope with instruction and Win10 cd + product key, new keyboard and new mouse still in plastic bags and also ethernet cable, and vga cable included

Sometimes a mechanical drive will work for years and years, that's true.
This is a refurb, and the refurb company simply wiped the existing hard drive and installed Windows 10.
However, when upgrading to a solid state drive, when I pulled the old hard drive out, it was from 2013.
Reseated processor, reformatted hard drive, tried everything since all was pointing to overheat or possibly bad os installation.
I re-purposed an old external hard drive and a usb wifi adapter....and added a Bluetooth adapter and a dp to hdmi adapter (and 8 gbs of readyboost 'ram') .....and voila!
