This is a basic, no-frills laser printer that works wirelessly (and pretty good, I might add) and does the job its intended to do

The HP M203dww printer is a great midlevel laser printer for home or, home office, or even light office use.

I found other manufactuers (e.g. Brother) sell laser printers compatible with W2012 and provide telephone support.

I do very little printing, so wanted an inexpensive laser printer.

When I contacted the chat service I had to wait in excess of 25 minutes to chat with the rep who then advised he could not handle a server OS and to contact HP Support via Twitter.

Going online to HP support and every error has about 5 steps to try that don't work and the final one is to remove the printer, shut everything off, reinstall printer, reconnect to network and see if that helps.

I called HP support and after diagnosis they sent a new toner cartridge

Their program, called "HP Easy Start", looks pretty, but when it does not register your printer or your printer can't find a signal or the driver is not found anywhere, then the word "Easy" seems a marketing ploy than anything of what some would call realistic

Again after a few days use, a dark mark started to appear on the page - very sporatic - one day it would print fine and the next day have the marks.

An application called HP Easy Start presented itself and in just a few minutes the installation and registration was complete

Slowly, however, printer makers, notably HP, have improved this functionality to the point where it is (almost) a no-brainer

Vista found the correct driver in about 30 seconds, and my printer can now receive print jobs from all three of my in-home computers via WiFi.

First, the supplied driver refused to load, so I called HP, and they downloaded the proper driver for me, so that should not cause trouble

Prints quickly from my Windows and Linux PC's, my iPhone and my Android tablet, plus can use an available PostScript driver for exceptional graphics rendering

Setup was very easy - plug it into the USB port of a computer or Ethernet port of a wired network, add the printer, go into settings and setup the wireless features (SSID , Password etc).

As others have said, the setup for this printer was very difficult for me!
