HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Sheet-feed OCR Scanner - 2024 report by Whydis
HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 7000 s3 Sheet-feed OCR Scanner
Give your office high-volume scanning performance. Professional-helps you save time and capture confidently. Achieve scan speeds up to 75 ppm/150 imp. Recommended for 7,500 pages per day. Kofax VRS 5.1 included.
These issues are more than offset by its volume scanning capabilities and the user-friendly Smart Document Scan Software
With HP, you get both hardware and software expertise, and it shows in the trouble-free scanning and the outstanding OCR technology
The HP Smart Scan software is capable of many features that I have come to expect like straightening page content and removing holes
Almost enough to make me knock another star off (3 stars), but really, the incredible scanning speed with auto detection of orientation, color, blank pages, and customizable profiles means that this device is a rock star for bulk scanning (its primary purpose).

The 7000 s3 will do a fantastic job of this, dropping it into an online folder for you to look at later.
Very fast! does a great job scanning
Even though there is a setting in the profile to auto detect color this software does not do a good job of detecting small amount of color even at the highest detection setting

I tried scanning again using a TWAIN driver compatible software that I sometimes use with “X scanner” and the color looked great, so it was the software that was the issue
However, if you need any of the additional features that the HP software offers you would have to buy some after market TWAIN driver compatible software and hope for the best

This software is really excellent at removing highlighters, color gradients, pretty images from checks, the "blue" or "grey" bars on forms, and other items.
These images, shades, and color pictures can really make a mess in a traditional black and white scan.
I've seen phone apps that can take perfect images of documents without having to carefully line up your camera
The images look very nice and I got it working with Windows XP and Windows 7.I will continue experimenting but this really seems like a very high end scanner for serious document scanning
