The lighting on this board is just as good as on the K70 LUX

But with the advancement in tech, I thought it was time I move to a modern keyboard featuring Cherrys and other useful enhancements.

It might not be quite as comfortable as my DAS Keyboards but it combines quality mechanical switch keys with a modern feature/gimmick set to make for a keyboard both good for gaming and typing

From someone that goes through both the enthusiast, gaming, and typist keyboard market, this keyboard has been pleasantly surprising, it has superb build quality, and after pulling out and lubing the switches it feels like any normal Cherry MX keyboard except having a large amount of really surprisingly useful features such as the media keys, a mode that prevents you from closing out of certain programs both in and out of gaming

Looks good, the lighting modes are fun, and the key switches are great quality

Blue especially never looked quite right on the K70 LUX, but on the Alloy Elite RGB is looks more vibrant and true blue

Having said all of that, I actually think the HyperX Alloy Elite RGB is even better

The wrist rest on the Alloy Elite RGB is also really nice

On the Alloy elite RGB, the mx reds are actually fairly

Finally, the detachable wrist rest is an added bonus and definitely eases the strain on my hand when gaming

Personally, I'm happy I spent the extra 10 dollars as I love the wrist rest

I'm probably complaining about something trivial, but for me I love a good padded wrist rest and at this price point I was expecting more

I personally don't miss RGB on my keyboard though, I find it too distracting

I'll explain the areas where I feel the Elite RGB tops the K70 LUX.HyperX has been killing it in the PC peripheral game the last few years

But with a single pattern (i.e., no keypress pattern), you can set any color to each individual key, or groups of keys, for all lighting patterns (i.e., solid, breathing, wave, trigger, explosion, HyperX flame).All in all, this keyboard has just about everything I could hope for, and for the things it doesn't, they're easily dealt with (i.e., fingerprints wipe off easy) or things I wouldn't use (i.e., wrist wrest to save desk space, flashier rgb patterns because they'd distract me)

I like the feel of the keys and the keyboard’s quick responsiveness so much that I use it for writing and other work every day, not just gaming

It's solid, doesn't have a cheap feel, the red led is really nice, everything has been working fine and the keys don't feel very "mushy" in a sense

The keyboard looks very new like it said in the description and the clicks feel very smooth and satifying, overall the product is very great and others should buy it!

I went ahead and bought the same exact board from Best Buy in hopes of a better product.

I am running Win 10, no problems recognizing it, and loading drivers....great product, really enjoy all the features for my use....

My son says one of the worst things in intense gaming is when you suddenly are in windows by pushing that key by mistake

Hands down this is the best gaming keyboard I've ever owned.

Just by installation it has a game-mode switch that disables the windows key

Only issue is it can get dust inbetween the keys quickly and its hard to clean, i recommend an air duster, but really any keyboard will have this issue

With one KVM switch, the keyboard behaved as a mouse, moving the cursor when any key was struck

The keys aren't clunky and the key sounds are pleasant also.

The keys just feel so good to use and the textured surfaces are a nice touch.

The software is a bit awkward but you can find plenty of instructions on YouTube (from HyperX)

The first is rainbow wave, which is just as nice as that found on e K70 LUX

The free software which you can download from HyperX's website allows you to create your own custom layouts and save them.

The controls are laid out nicely and the keyboard backlighting can be customized easily from the buttons on the keyboard eliminating any need for complex software.
