I would rather it have had no onboard sound at all than the way it is currently as it a beautiful little acoustic bass with a nice sound.

It’s a great idea, but in actual usage, many acoustic basses struggle to output enough volume as well as a tight, focused sound

The sound is great, it looks nice, and generally can be played at a moderate volume acoustically.

The tuner works great and the bass sounds amazing on an amp and by itself

you won't find this kind of quality at this price anywhere, however, one of they ways they keep the price down is by not doing anything at the factory that they don't HAVE to do, so if you don't know how to set up a bass you better learn, mine needed a big truss rod adj, and i needed to shave 1/4in off the bridge, and put string slots in it, luckily they give you a spare, also they wasted no time wiping off excess glue or sanding, not much you can do about the glue, but your going to want to sand the edges with a piece of 240grit, where the top and back meet the sides, its actually so sharp you can hurt yourself trying to play it, its all easily fixed tho, and for this price its crazy good

It's set up nicely and tone is variable (good thing) so it can be used in many settings.
