Reviews around overdrive (5.00 of 5)

  • I'm so happy I did, because not only does it play well with my other pedals, but the overdrive is much richer
  • Overall, this is a nice, sturdy, warm overdrive
  • Yes, this is a great overdrive.

Reviews around boost (5.00 of 5)

  • As i found out while i played it: The boost on it is awesome
  • But if you're after a scooped mid sound, say for metal, then I would only recommend this pedal as a solo boost, where the mids will help cut through the mix.
  • So using it for a clean boost kind of is not an option
  • After having tried several popular boost and OD pedals, this one worked the best with my Tube Amps.

Reviews around state (5.00 of 5)

  • I can't comment on how it'll sound for a hybrid, and my experience is that it's definitely not for solid state
  • but I hear that it will work with either tube or solid state amplifiers
  • I play solid state amps and digital multi effects with super shielded guitars for recording, and these kinds of artifacts really show up in the mix

Reviews around channel (5.00 of 5)

  • I currently have DSL40C, but have purchased a fender deluxe reverb (hence why I needed an overdrive pedal), and this not only worked well with the marshall on the clean and dirty channel, but I think it would work much better with a "pristine clean" fender amp
  • i recently returned a TS808 reissue because it was defective (picked up radio stations whether on clean or dirty channels... and pretty regularly), so i am now able to compare the two.if you are set on the ts808 tone like i was, and are comparing the TS808 reissue vs the TS808dx, see below for my assessment for why i chose the TS808dx:1
  • So it's basically like adding another channel to my amp.

Reviews around sustain (5.00 of 5)

  • It's a great pedal, solid construction, good sustain and warm tone.
  • It is not as smooth as a
  • I've rarely heard a pedal that added such a smooth, bottom-end sustain with such clarity and lack of muddiness

Reviews around way (5.00 of 5)

  • It also sound much less compressed to me than the TS9, in a good way
  • Tube screamers are in the category of "overdrive" pedals, and like the name would indicate, they're meant add a little extra "over" an already "driven" amp, but in a more natural, smooth, organic way then a distortion pedal would

Reviews around turbo (5.00 of 5)

  • By switching to +, hot, or turbo mode, the pedal adds bass and a little extra gain incrementally
  • The extra knob that switches between ts9, +, hot, and turbo mode adds a whole lot of tone and use options
  • This pedal has three preamp settings: Ts9, Hot, +, and Turbo
