In-Line Headphone Volume Control Adds convenience to any headphone that does not provide a local volume control. Simply plugs into the sound source and provides a 3.5mm jack for connecting existing headphones. Great for use with audio equipment with ...
Volume dial is a "loose" spin which makes it easy to control, but I have also brushed against the dial a couple of times and have changed the volume just by doing soOverall, I am extremely pleased with this inexpensive solution to the minor annoyance I had of having to retrieve my device anytime I wanted to adjust the volume.
Ordered the Volume control, plugged my headphones in -- easy solution -- problem solved.
Simple, inexpensive solution for the lack of volume adjustment on my new boss headphones.
This is a much better solution than the dial type volume controls
Searched AVSForum and Amazon and found this inexpensive solution
This is a nice little product that does exactly what I wanted - to provide volume control for a 3.5mm audio extension cable plugged into the audio out on the TV in one end and to headphones that do not have volume control on the other end
This is not a negative review for the seller, only the product.
I’ll have to find a better product that doesn’t have angles.
I realize this is a cheap product, but I expected it to last longer then a couple months of use.
Nice long range on the volume adjustment makes for easy fine tuning.
This control only adjusts volume for half of the wheel range, and when it does, it destroys the tonal range of music
Pros: short length, easy to control volume dial (more control than sliding, or arrow up/down styled ones), good range of mute thru fairly high volume, adjusting the volume is seamless (no static or cutting out)Cons: not the strongest feeling cord material
I use it all winter on the ski slopes (for years) to connect my built-in helmet headphones to my I Pod classic.
Buy this and keep looking for something of better quality!
The indigo has exceptional sound quality, just a bit loud
It fits my needs but wished the quality was a little better
Quality is low like the cost, however it works and it does not crack when you adjust the volume up and down like a lot of other inexpensive volume controls do.
I replaced it with a cheap "aux" cable, but that did not allow me to adjust the volume without digging the mp3 player out of a pocket, which is a hassle while skiing.
This cable is a little thinand flimsy but it controls volume perfectly.
but it works as it should.
so I really can't call the cable gauge a fault or "defect"

I don't know if I got a bad one or as with some cheap headphones a loose connection means you will always have problems.
While this seemed to do the job at first, after a few days it seemed that the connections were looser and any movement made the thing totally go off and than had to turn on device again, etc

Great for use with audio equipment with unusually high output levels, and for using low impedance headphones with devices designed for higher loads, such as airline in flight entertainment systems.
