Reviews around speed (5.00 of 5)

  • Don't really think this product need a review, except long shipping for 6 days it has no issues of installation or just using, super nice speed and etc, good for gaming and doing everything u need
  • Best single thread execution speed available prior to the 8086K (think X-Plane), and performs very well for multi-threaded applications as well.
  • Good fast CPU was able to overclock it to 5K easily with a few seconds, and support my 3466 MHz for my RAMCurrently running it on fair 4.7 GHz speed and the CPU is super fast, and the temperature is really fair on load, not more than 60C on load, some may think it is about cooling, but CPU actually involved as well, I'm using Noctua NH-D15 air cooling with it.
  • Pros:-Speed (without overclocking, clocks in at 4 GHz for each processor)-Multitasking (perfect if performing multiple tasks on a screen, no noticeable slowdown)-Brand new (don't have to worry about counterfeits)Negatives:-OS
  • Super fast speeds and with the corsair liquid cooler it stays super cool.

Reviews around money (5.00 of 5)

  • Though intel processors are more money its definitely worth it
  • I suggest staying away from this CPU until cheaper motherboards are released, unless you like pissing your money away on features you cannot use.
  • Plus it's pretty much the best gaming processor money can buy.
  • I paid good money for a new product, not some used/refurbished bullshit
  • You buy this supposed limited edition processor, with seeming-less unending stock, hoping that in the future your money makes available better processing power.

Reviews around cool (4.49 of 5)

  • Very good cpu, If you don't have the right cooling for it it will be too hot for your
  • I do recommend a good air cooler if not OCing with high quailty paste-
  • This thing is a beast, especially mated with a good cooler.
  • I'm sure with overclocking that would change, and I'll probably get a more capable cooler for when I do (eventually) decide to overclock but air cooled temperatures, even with a relatively cheap air cooler are perfectly fine.
  • Very hot you need to make sure you have a good cooling set up

Reviews around core (4.47 of 5)

  • Very fast 6 cores 12 threads.46c high while playing PUBG ultra settings
  • 6 cores for under $400 is not bad at all
  • I guess I haven't had a task that the processor thought should be run on one fast core instead of several reasonably quick cores
  • A really good price on a solid 6 core 12 thread processor.
  • Single core performance is amazing, and I've got 12 logical cores now

Reviews around product (4.20 of 5)

  • Will update this review with better stars once I get the correct product
  • I've seen all the reviews for it and how great this product is but unfortunately the one I've received if not up to par
  • Performance can be great problem is only owning the product for a week I am noticing the idle temps is pretty high at least to me 40 to 50 c and playing farcry 5 can jumped close to
  • They make an inferior product, but you get a lot more bang for your buck.-Launch of X299 -Sklylake X and Z370- Coffee Lake are two strikes against Intel.

Reviews around gaming (4.18 of 5)

  • For the best gaming experience, you might consider going through a De-Lidding service, because the 8700k does have some thermal limitations due to its cheap TIM under the Heatspreader
  • Temps are 30-35 idle and 55-65 while gaming.
  • rich Z370 Chipset is the foundation of an amazing gaming and work PC
  • We all suffer as we have to wait, and the price is allowed to creep >$60 above release & MSRP.-Forced to buy new motherboard
  • I use my pc for everything but mostly gaming and it works great

Reviews around chip (4.04 of 5)

  • The only thing I was worried about was temps and I apparently got some golden chip in terms of that.
  • This chip stays cooler than my Fx-9590 did while that fire hazard was turned off
  • I'll tweak my settings more to see if I got a good chip or not
  • This chip runs hot, like, water cooling recommended/borderline required
  • The chip got so hot you could rotisserie a chicken inside the case, even with a liquid cooler

Reviews around intel (3.91 of 5)

  • If you can't afford the latest Intel, then don't buy it
  • To those of you that don't know, to utilize this chip, you must purchase a newer Intel "Coffee Lake" compatible mobo
  • Aside from this, Intel still uses total garbage for heat transfer in Coffee lake CPU's, so my recommendation would be to buy the new generation about to go on sale this month - because for those, Intel switched to solder (which is more expensive, but also has much better heat transfer to the surface of the CPU.
  • Intel has already snagged them and put the 8086K label on them at a price premium (genius, in my book).
  • Other:-There is no avenue to reproach Intel and Amazon beyond these product reviews

Reviews around thing (3.45 of 5)

  • Needless to say, this thing hums along nicely at 5.1 GHz with the RAM at 4133.
  • GTX1080 GPU.The sad thing is motherboard choice (and price) for now.
  • Most excellent CPU, but as others have said, I have to knock off a star for how hot this thing runs
  • The nicest thing for me is the CPU temp, which went from around 60 degrees when idle to now 37 degrees at idle and a mere 50 under full load, and my CPU fan speed is still not maxed out
  • Another nice thing with this chip is Intel seems to be working on getting better temp control as this also seems to run cooler than the 7700K, both liquid cooled and and overclocked to 4.8Ghz.

Reviews around performance (3.40 of 5)

  • , I have windows 10, updated, I have a great system rig, but I guess intel is not the same performance is bad, is like this is just made for gaming and nothing else, I formatted completely my PC to find out if it was my pc or cpu
  • The best CPU in 2017Stable with multy purposeHigh Temperature, needed Good performance CoolerI boughted this in
  • Meltdown and spectre design flaw fixes can degrade the performance by 30%
  • I’m over the moon about this cpu the performance is mind boggling and I haven’t been able to make it stutter or hiccup once going through my daily routine
  • I updated my computer and this processor has an amazing performance...

Reviews around price (3.40 of 5)

  • got for 322 good price and fast overclock-able 8th gen CPU
  • Intel done good with this CPU.I purchased most of my hardwares from local store at a much better price with rebate than amazon, but I do shop on amazon for years
  • Bought the 8700k at the perfect time for 399$ honestly not bad considering a lot of people are buying to resell for outrageous prices but was lucky enough to acquire one for a good price
  • A really good price on a solid 6 core 12 thread processor.
  • Don't like the price, don't buy the top of the line products

Reviews around edition (1.00 of 5)

  • You buy this supposed limited edition processor, with seeming-less unending stock, hoping that in the future your money makes available better processing power.
  • This Intel Core i7-8086K Limited Edition Desktop Processor was exactly what I wanted.
  • Especially have to love the pre-binning that went into the 8086K Limited Edition
  • Look I know this is just a i7 8700k in a Limited Edition box, with a new name, and maybe a little cherry picking
  • the CPU was DOA , or something happened when I fired it up in the other MOBO that didn't support the 8th edition
