The suction was very hard to use and the arm was awkward

The sticky suction pad works very well, but if you are using this device on multiple cars, say if you travel and rent a lot of different models and makes, it might be a little difficult to find a suitable surface to attach it to, so plan accordingly.

I tried mounting it backwards to be able to extend the boom all the way out to make it closer to me and thus easier to read, but with the weight hanging way out there, the suction cup fails within a couple minutes.you would think with the 2 step suction cup tightener that you'd get really good suction, but it's not good enough

On both cars, the suction/sticky pad has come loose from the dashboard pad multiple times due to the cantilevered weight when the arm is extended a bit.

Secures the phone very well and I like that it can be removed with one hand instead of two hands like the older model requires, but there’s a lot of play between the base of the unit and the suction cup that secures it to the dash.

It never lost suction even when my dashboard sat in 110 degree weather all day.

I can see that over the past 3 years in the excessive heat, the bottom clear rubber suction has turned yellow, and has slightly melted.
