Works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with Spigen Tough Armor case.

This mount worked perfectly in both holding the case, and in the charging working.

I thought about cutting some openings in the back of my Otterbox Defender case, but figured why deface a perfectly fine ~$40 case, to try and get what I was supposed to get when I spent almost as much on this in the first place

I do find that the device is able to charge my phone through its protective case which is a otter box

If my picture is attached below you can see that it looks pretty amazing, easy to reach and snap in, Qi charge is effective immediately (remember some cases don’t allow a throughput so your charge may not work with the case on, like mine did)

Unfortunately is does not charge my Samsung Galaxy S7 with even a skinny case on the phone (skinny case is just a thin TPU shell), not to mention my normal average sized case (which works fine on other wireless chargers).

Full adjustable and charges my iPhone X with my clear plastic case on it, works flawlessly

I'm using this with my Note 8, a Spigen Rugged Crystal clear case, a Belkin braided micro usb cable, and the Samsung OEM Fast Charge Dual-Port Car Charger

It works OK, it holds well and it is sturdily made, however, the magnetic charging is NOT strong enough to work through an otterbox defender or any other solidly protective case, so if you use one, then skip this and buy a less expensive phone mount. .

I think Qi technology just isn't up for the task of topping off your battery while running navigation, which is presumably a pretty popular use case for putting your phone in a hands-free cradle.

if i take off the case there is a slight vchance it might charge for 1 minute then stop but with the case and spigen is not a bulky case to begin with this is not some that works

I would have give 5 stars but what held me back is that if you have an otterbox protective case, the protective case is to thick for it to work properly

If you take your phone out of the protective case, it works great

Tried several cases even very thin still did not work with case on

Tempted to buy another just to see if it's an isolated case, but since the price went up, probably not worth that gamble.

If you have a note 8 or a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9 just make sure you have a decent case and you won't have to worry about it cracking your screen

I bought this for my wife, who haas an iPhone X with a thicker protective case.
