there is a lot to clean up!We have hard wood, carpeting and stone with an L shaped ground floor

so I can change my schedule or start a cleaning cycle without even being home

I had to empty the bin twice during the cleaning cycle and it went to the home base twice during this time.

It has only successfully completed a cleaning cycle about 3-4 times.

I have this run 3 times per week and it does an excellent job picking up dust and dirt

It does a great job on the carpet and the hardwood floors

but it otherwise does a terrific job, cleaning surfaces I may not always clean.

More features would be nice, especially a feature to allow you to set no-go areas on the cleaning map

The app will not work via your local network (best I can tell), it has to have an outside connection even if you're home.

In the dark the robot blew through over two hours and did not complete the job

The only thing I do not like is I do had a fluffy area rug and Roomba will not clean that rug as it acts as a corner

It does a mediocre job of cleaning cat litter off the bare floor

8 hours is a long time to endure loud persistent vacuum noise on the main level on and off all day

Where most vacuums make a horrible noise and you wonder if you broke something, this unit simply stopped

The nice thing was I was able to grab my phone, change to the quieter eco-mode and noise went away

Like it got stuck on our furniture (with horizontal floor legs) the first 6 or 7 times we ran it

Overall it's been great, we had one incident with some cat poop, but luckily Roomba got stuck shortly after picking it up, so it didn't smear across the whole house

The 980 has vacuumed the floors very well - vinyl, wood, low pile carpeting

We have almost all hard wood floors with a few rugs so the dust is non stop

The machine works ok on regular carpet and hard wood floors

The roomba handles wood and tile floors well for the most part however as soon as it reaches carpet trouble begins

We have premium vinyl floating floors that isn't supposed to scratch easily like wood, because we have two dogs and figured it would wear better than wood under the dogs' feet
