Jargar 4/4 Violin E String Thick(Forte) Chromesteel Ball-End - 2024 report by Whydis
Jargar 4/4 Violin E String Thick(Forte) Chromesteel Ball-End
Jargar chromesteel strings have been a long time favorite for violinists, violists and cellists. They possess a powerful, robust tone with a bright response making it a good choice for folk style playing, or any music that uses a lot of double stops.
Many people recommend it to top off Dominants, making the entire violin sound fundamentally more ringing and brilliant.
I have used it with Visions, Infeld Blues, as well as Dominants, and find that it just feels more responsive and open than the native e strings of those sets.

The "E" string seemed to be very highly recommended as a good relyable violin "E" string with a low failure rate.
If you like your hearing and do not enjoy loud whiny sounds then buy a Pirastro Olive (Gold).
The last set of strings I got, the E was so bad I did everything I could to avoid playing it
This is one of my favorite e strings, although lately it is erratically available.
