I own several bluetooth speakers and the best I have is a Klipsch that I bought in 2014

This is a very nice Bluetooth outdoor speaker and very (VERY) large

I do like the Bluetooth and that I can link it to other small JBL speakers.

well worth the price, this is not your average cheapo Bluetooth

Bluetooth is easy to pair and connects from a fair distance

It's a pretty compact and smooth unit with no real parts or pieces that could break off easily

Other than this, I highly recommend this Unit with eyes closed.

The Woofers are exposed (though in a cavity) so I could see those getting broken if someone stabbed or poked them, but other than that I'm guessing it should be a pretty durable little unit

Time change, and this thing as a beautifully designed modern device.

The Marshall Tufton wins the style round with it's retro classic design and analog knobs, but the JBL Boombox 2 is bringing some serious game

It is solid-built, loud overall with a lot of bass, waterproof, and has a nice handle to carry it on your shoulder if you want to

Great battery life and bluetooth connectivity, great sound for a portable device, easy to transport, rugged and waterproof construction, along with superb battery-life make this product a real winner, especially at the price-point.

Only downside, if you're playing at max volume, the battery will only last around 2 to 3 hours

And the JBL out-performs with battery life and acoustical richness.

Had the JBL Extreme that I absolutely loved, however someone stole it while at the park

thanks JBL, this boombox rocks, great bass, good enough

We are an avid JBL household here and just not impressed with this $600 speaker

JBL knocked it out of the park with this speaker and I highly recommend it without hesitation

Anyone who says this is a bad product because of its weight is a little b***ch who has never been in the gym or worked a day of manual labor In their life

While the product may sound fine utilizing the aux jack, the older Bluetooth codec it uses is of such low quality that distortion is immediately evident in the higher ranges

Only after purchase did I realize that this product is not compatible with past JBL audio products.

Puts out a solid sound, bass is good, not too bass as to distort at higher volumes

Another nice thing is that it doesn’t rattle the surface it’s on, even when the bass is loud

For a portable waterproof boombox, this thing is on steroids

Where the Extreme 2 fits comfortably on my kitchen counter, the Boombox just requires a heck of a lot more counter space

Be aware tho, people will be wanting to hold it and carry it like a classic boombox so don't be afraid, you can't hurt this thing.

So the question is is the Boombox 2 enough of a step up to buy relative to the Extreme 2.

This speaker is one of the best thing right now the bass and sound is so powerful I would recommend this item for anyone who wants to enjoy good music sound

If you love loud music and bass and a sweet overall speaker, this may be for you

Even at about 45% the music was still rich, and bumping

We needed something by the pool for playing music, and sometimes loud music

You don't have to have a Noisy Neighbor to enjoy this speaker, but it sure does help.

Crystal clear sound - deep base - if in an apartment, you could annoy your neighbors

I would not use it for casual indoor use, although you might if you like to shake the house while peeling the carrots.
