I have been comparing portable bluetooth speakers in this general size range at the displays in big-box stores for the past year, and concluded that the JBL Charge 3 was the best sound in its size class and reasonable in price.

I love this product, loud, long lasting battery, bluetooth allows me to take it anywhere.

I give it to my hudsband for Christmas and now is March and its not woking well, the bluetooth it not connecting with my ipad

The bass sounds better and louder than any other portable bluetooth speaker I've tried, there may be fuller or richer sound in the mids from other speakers, but overall, you can't go wrong with the Charge 3.Here's a tip, buy a case for it, they're around 10-13 dollars here on Amazon, I always store it and carry it in it's case when I need to move it, because I'm kind of clumsy and tend to accidentally drop things here and there
