These tubes have a buttery smooth sound to them.

It's clean sound and the overdrive was too Icepickky.

I was looking for a smoother sound, and got it in this tube.

The only drawback to the JJ's is they are not as sturdy and long lasting as the Russian made brands (Sovtek, Electro Harmonix, etc.) but have a much richer sound without the muddiness associated with the Russian types

I just didn't like the sound it was making anymore.

After using this tube in all of my guitar amps (12) both vintage (1954) and brand spanking new I can say with great confidence that this is a solid, great sounding and durable tube

If you want a brighter sound out of a dark amp (tweed Fender, Marshall) these are the cure

Its a good sound if you are a Lead guitarist it flushes out the high strings

Not that VOX had nothing less than great sound to begin with, it's noticeably better now.

These new tubes have cleaned up the sound and the amp has a lot more volume and is a lot crisper sounding with little distortion at higher volumes

Tried a t-12AX7-S-JJ in V1 hmmm better..but the clean channel was blaa not a clean sound yet

Great valve,lotsa drive and bottom end love the sound of a good new valve white hot!!

All in all, it does what it's meant to do: it's makes good sounds at a good price.

It actually gave the VOX a warmer sound, which I love.

i like a good jangley without being too bright of a clean sound and a gritty crunchy bluesy overdrive but with some clarity
