I installed the JJ's, plugged the old girl in, and was and still amazed at the most awesome guitar tone I've ever "played" thru

It sort of dampered my enjoyment of the amp even though I used it a good bit, but when I got these tubes along with a 12ax7 preamp from JJ Electronics, the Super Champ X2 seemed like to be whole new beast

When I ordered my Super Champ X2 about a year or two so ago, it sounded good, but the preamp tube was causing terrible rattling noises when I played notes on the low E string on the first, second and third frets

This matching is especially important to avoid clipping from a tube that is out-of-range, otherwise you'll compromise your bias setting with one tube too high and the other low
