It's less bright than the metal mouthpieces, so the sound is good for classical playing, but like all of Jody Espina's mouthpieces this one can also take a lot of air without the tone going bad.

That said, it's important to have a well-prepared reed as well, or you could end up blaming your mouthpiece when the reeds are the problem.

I found this mouthpiece to be pretty reed friendly.
