We tried putting the cap in hot water for a while but still could not get it to fit.

Lid fits very tight (be sure to follow directions and boil it) but I don't trust water inside my bassoon case

Well sealed, doesn't leak water

The only negative to this product is the lid to the cup, which does not fit on correctly for me

Upon receipt of the cup the manufacturer has you boil the lid

I like the cup itself and lid being super tight to prevent leaking
