Now you can get custom effects from a tiny source that you plug directly into your guitar! Just plug your headphones into the JOYO JA-03 mini amp and you've got a cool sound, directly from your guitar amplified to your headphones. Walk ...
great practice tool of course...honestly if would be great for recording because of the fact you could lay down the guitar tracks before you record them...having the chance to make the song much better
If you purchase this looking for a useful practice tool or for something to play without bugging your neighbors or waking up kids, it's great!
Have not used it enough to speak about battery life, and the tone is of course limited, but a very handy practice tool.
This is a nice little tool for portable or quiet practice
I would recommend this item if you want a metal sound for a very cheap price, or if you want a high quality metal distortion, go for the VOX Metal pocket amp, which I got online from Guitar Center, for a much higher price.

I purchased the Metal version which works really well for that sound profile
The one I got says "Metal" not "Super Lead" like the one pictured.
But the JOYO Tube Drive does give a nice metal distortion for a much lower price, you won't be disappointed.
It's satisfactory as an "in the quiet of your room" practice
If you want a Metal distortion sound, you should buy the VOX Metal pocket amp, and not this because the VOX Metal pocket amp has a much better and richer "metal sound" than this JOYO Tube Drive.
But the tone doesn't punch through quite as clearly, and there's also some feedback that happened if I put the gain up to 90% to 100%.
This is a great device for practicing but has a light buzz, nothing majorI get AWESOME tones with an SG, I usually use the bridge pickup all the way up for full on distortion, then I back off the volume knobs for mid and bridge positionsDefinitely worth it, great price!!
In the end analysis I believe it better to use some other type of preamp device, something with a little more power and a little cleaner tone.
Tone, gain are fine and even if they weren't I wouldn't care because I can play and enjoy playing without disturbing anyone else; I can hear what I'm playing without having to resort to my AE, which I don't always want to play due to getting used to the nut width AND the AE isn't quiet even when not plugged in.
For the price it's hard to complain-- but imo its use is pretty much limited to being an earphone adapter.
It does the job for a good price, but I assume more expensive versions wouldn't have a constant buzz sound
If the thing worked the way it did day one I'd rate 4 stars, especially considering the price
Overall, darned nice little headphone amp at a good price.
Anything that will make it more likely for you to get in the needed hours of practice to master an instrument is a good thing and this little headphone amp works pretty well with enough gain to power headphones, especially considering the price (under $12)
It's a decent little amp for practice, it does work and for the
but it is a pretty okay product i definitely would not rate ir a 5 start product but its a good little cheap portable amp that comes in handyi hope my review helps u guys :D
Good little amp but feels a little plasticky and the sound quality could be a little better
I guess it's not bad for the price, but this thing is really terrible and has the typical cheap amp effect of if you turn the volume down to where it's not screaming (for headphones), then it sounds really bad
Overall, darned nice little headphone amp at a good price.
Do have ear phones off when you turn this on because of the very loud pop.
The only complaint I have is that if you have your headphones on when you turn the unit on you will get an uncomfortable pop that is quite loud in your ears
The only thing I don't like about this is that it creates a pretty loud POP when you turn it on.
