The dash vents just do not sit at a good angle for this holder.

I installed it on a dash vent in my 2011 Mazda Miata.

For me this is not an issue as my vehicle allows each individual dash vent to be fully closed off using dampers discrete from the air direction louvers

Simply slips into dash vent and holds phone securely

I do wish it could be mounted away from the vents because sometimes the heater causes issues, but I don't use the dash vents often anyway (mostly floor and defrost).

Perfect, easy to put phone in and out, holds well, even though my dash / vent is at an angle, it still holds my phone through all the pot holed roads around here.
