I used to hate vent held phone holders until I tried this one, now it's the only one I can see ever using.

Good, low-profile holder that stays in the vent, however, the clamping force is either not enough or wrong materials are used because a phone in a slicone case (or with a similar texture) gradually slips down

then I notice the ac vent holders from the device are wide open and wont close back.

While this holder may be good for some phones/vehicles, it does not work well at all with an iPhone 7 or the Jeep Wrangler air vents.

My brother had one in the car and it was the best vent clip phone holder i had seen

my old holder was terrible and had tormented my dreams for a full year before I caved, so no price was too high to pay at that point.

Loved this phone holder

Caught my phone thankfully but the holder dislodged from the air vent and fell to the floor but luckily did not get in the way of me using the gas/break pedals.

I prefer a cell phone holder that clips unobtrusively to a vent (as opposed to mounting to the dash or windshield) and is small enough for travel if need be, so I went with a Kenu since I own and very much like the previous generation Airframe+

Also this holder works well with the vertical slats in the air vent in my Infiniti G37.

This Kenu is much better than the other less expensive vent holders I have tried in the past, I think the extra cost is worth it especially for the high tension spring that really holds.
