I drive a 2015 Tesla Model S and because of the design of the air vents and where they are on the dash, this smart phone mount just doesn't work at all

There are only two caveat I have: 1) your car has to have vents with louvres, and 2) when the heater is on, it may heat up the phone (conversely, one advantage in the summer is that when your air conditioner is on, it cools the phone down)--so you may have to shut off the air on that particular vent.
